Immagina di essere immerso nella foresta e circondato da scogliere di arenaria, godendo il lusso appartato di una casa in legno completamente arredata. Sgrossare non è mai stato così lussuoso! Alloggi per nove persone su comodi letti antichi circondati da opere dell'artista e proprietario Pam (disponibili anche per l'acquisto).
L'ampio ponte anteriore è un rifugio al suo interno; dotato di grill a gas e ampi posti a sedere, è un paradiso per il birdwatching e avvistamento della fauna selvatica locale. Il ponte posteriore di nuova costruzione è a 2 livelli con il livello superiore schermato con un ventilatore a soffitto e posti a sedere al bar, il luogo perfetto per godersi la tazza di caffè mattutino o un drink serale. Al piano inferiore del ponte è posto a sedere per la cena con vista sulla buca per il fuoco attraverso il vialetto.
La disposizione di Leatherwood House comprende due piani con due camere da letto arroccate al secondo piano, una con un letto matrimoniale e l'altra con due gemelli. La master suite è isolata dal resto dello spazio abitativo al primo piano e si affaccia sul ponte. Ha una TV con DVD / videoregistratore. Lo spazio per dormire è incluso anche in morbidi divani che si aprono nel soggiorno. Un pacchetto n play è previsto per i bambini e un materasso extra per i bambini quando necessario.
I lucenti pavimenti in legno e le piastrelle in ceramica completano la qualità rustica, mentre l'aria e il calore centrali sono tutt'altro che legni. Due bagni completi, uno con una vasca per i piedi ad artiglio e l'altro, una doccia di buone dimensioni, rendono più comodo il vostro soggiorno. La nostra cucina ha tutti i piatti e le pentole di cui avrete bisogno con una gamma elettrica e forno, frigorifero, forno a microonde, tostapane, macchina per il caffè normale, macchina per il caffè k-cup e altri piccoli elettrodomestici. Se c'è qualcosa che hai dimenticato o hai bisogno di preparare i tuoi pasti, basta chiamare in ufficio, probabilmente ce l'abbiamo!
Per il tuo divertimento, c'è una stanza in un'alcova fuori dal soggiorno con giochi da tavolo e puzzle. Our hosts were quick to answer questions before booking and incredibly accommodating from pre-arrival through departure. The property exceeded expectations—well stocked with everything you’d need, whether you want to throw together a simple meal or cook something more elaborate.The outdoor decks, table, and chairs would be perfect for relaxing in good weather. Leatherwood sits just over a mile off the main road down a dirt road. The final section is a steep uphill road that is pretty rocky. The hosts describe this accurately, and I agree that a vehicle with ground clearance or AWD/4WD is preferred, but definitely doable otherwise. We visited at the end of fall, and even with most of the leaves down, we could only just make out the hosts’ lights through the trees. Aside from an occasional passing plane, it was pure nature—peaceful, quiet, and with incredible night skies.The property would be very comfortable for a party of four or two couples. The chairs and bedding were very comfortable. Would definitely return

We stayed at leatherwood for one night and headed a couple of miles down the road to the outfitter before starting our paddle trip. Leatherwood is a great and spacious house with everything you need. If you’re driving in the dark the sign can be a bit hard to see but if you’re looking out for it, it’s no problem at all! Would absolutely come back!

VRBO had wrong location information. Sent us well past the road we should of turned down. Thankfully the owner had posted a sign on the main road that hinted where we should have turned so we did eventuality find the cabin. He also called us to apologize and said he would get the issue corrected as we were the 2nd renters who had that issue. The cabin is definitely off the main road, deep into the woods. The road to the cabin is rugged but well maintained. My SUV had no issues getting to the cabin. The photos of the cabin are accurate. It is super cute inside and out. Inside is very welcoming and the owners have provided everything a family would need ( except food of course). The beds were comfortable and we had good nights rest. Then only negative we had was the furniture outside on the decks was extremely worn. We didnt get to enjoy sitting outside like we thought we would and that was disappointing. Considering the inside was so clean, comfortable and well decorated it was strange the outside wasnt given more attention. Hopefully this is something that will be addressed.

This is a quiet, off-grid style property, but several key listing details were not accurate.The home itself was clean, well stocked, and comfortable. There was plenty of space, and we enjoyed the wildlife and surroundings.However, there were several issues future guests should know:Location accuracy:The map location on VRBO was incorrect. The address provided after booking was a mailbox about 10 miles away, and the actual property was 15 minutes from where it appeared on the listing. The host did not respond to requests for clarification, and we had to rely on directions from a previous guest.Air conditioning:Only the living area and master bedroom had A/C. The other bedrooms had no cooling, and the windows lacked screens, so they couldn’t be opened at night. This made those rooms difficult to use in warm weather.WiFi and cell service:WiFi speeds were under 1 Mbps and not usable for streaming despite the Roku listing. There was also no cell service, so working remotely wasn’t possible. “Game room”:The listing mentioned an arcade/game room, but this was not present—just a few board games in a dining area.SummaryThis could be a good fit for guests intentionally seeking a quiet, disconnected stay. However, those expecting reliable internet, accurate location details, or full-home A/C may be disappointed.
