Oven Could have been a bit more precise

We knew the area before our holiday so were really pleased to be able to rent a cottage there. The cottage is perfect for a family of four. Very comfortable and extremely well equipped. It was very clean, the shower was excellent and the beds were comfortable. There is a pub around the corner which serves excellent food but you need to reserve a table a day or two in advance during busy periods.

Easy to find; well set up; close to other places of interest in the area.

Overall the house was clean and well equipped with the crockery, cutlery and kitchen utensils. Nice dining area and comfortable lounge furniture.

The double bed was not comfortable, the mattress was covered with a duvet under the undersheet in order to help improve the lumpiness of an old mattress. The sitting room, which looks wonderfully light and airy in the photographs was actually dark and gloomy. On arrival we found the hob plates didn't heat up and the fridge was not cold. The housekeeper was lovely and very helpful but her efforts to get the owner to sort out the problems were not responded to and we wasted our first day going back and forth to the owner to get some thing sorted out. He was not helpful. Eventually the housekeeper managed to get things working for us but both the hob and the fridge are old and need replacing. We were not at all impressed with the lack of interest shown by the owner. I would not recommend this house.
