This was such a rare find and it’s even more beautiful than the photos. It’s the perfect cabin in an absolutely gorgeous riverside location. I couldn’t have asked for more. It’s cozy, clean, and although it was just my wife and I on this trip, it’s certainly large enough to accommodate our large family (6 kids) for our next booking. Sharon was a great host. We had everything we needed at the cabin. I only wish that we could have stayed longer. I highly recommend it.

Comfy cabin and great location! Cabin had all necessities and was perfect for our family of 6. Location is remote, quiet, and perfect for relaxing and appreciating the people around you and the great outdoors. Creek across the small road was lots of fun — fishing, swimming, and joyous tubing! Fire pit was great. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

This place is very cool! My teenage son who loves to fish and loved the rustic vibe of the place was sad we only could stay 2 nights before going onto the next place! We all loved the outside wrap around screened in porch with fairy lights so we could be "outside" and still comfy and not get chewed up! We loved the stream running in front of the property and threw some lines in and caught a few small fish as well!!! A few pan fish, a creek chub and even a small mouth bass!!! I know some mention the sulfer smell to the water when showering, but we found it to be very faint, and I didnt notice it much at all...the host provides water for drinking which was great! The kitchen has everything you need! They even had coffee and filters at the ready! They also have a coffe bean grinder and a coffee press for those who get fancy with theor coffee making :) I would highly recommned this place, and if we are ever back this way again, we would love to stay again! Sharon was an amazing communicator as well!

Everything was awesome, going down the river every day was so much fun. Not having phone service was great for us. Everything was clean except porch had cobwebs around the top of screens but nothing that will stop us from returning. Shavon the host was friendly and communicated every step of the way. Can’t wait for the second vacation here.

My cousins and I, ranging in age from 55-67, had a very relaxing, fun-filled stay at the cabin. It was very peaceful. The cabin was rustic and had the scent of the wood burning fireplace. It was the type of lodging we were hoping it would be. The creek runs in front of the cabin and has plenty of grassy space along the rocky bank for sitting in a chair, relaxing, and talking. We spent hours there. We were able to catch some small fish which was a bonus. We also utilized the Weber grill and enjoyed a night around the fire pit. The owner, Sharon, is a great communicator. She made sure we had all of the information we needed to plan for our trip. Thanks to Sharon, we were well prepared and didn’t have to make a single trip into town.

A quiet location! Great for fishing and sitting around the bonfire! We tried tubing on the creek, but water level to low. Comfortable beds. A few small issues addressed by homeowner quickly. Water to drink and propane supplied by homeowner. Wanted a few days away from cell phones and internet - so this was perfect. Bring along your own non stick fry pan, but other then that, kitchen well equipped!

We had such a relaxing time, surrounded by nature! Went fishing and swimming in the river. The wrap around screened-in porch was heaven. Thank you for sharing your beautiful cabin with us. We had a wonderful time!

Sharon's put some thought into the decor to make this cabin feel like a home. The furnishings were very comfortable. We especially liked the snuggly fleece throws. The location is very private but not remote--something we were very happy for. There are cabins nearby but you hardly notice them because of the trees and shrubs. Across the gravel road is the Creek which you can watch from the porch and hear as soothing background all night. Plenty of heat in case you are there in a cold snap as we were. Easy trip to hiking trails. The tap water is not potable but fresh water is provided or you can bring your own bottles. The tap water has a definite sulfur smell when hot and if you are sensitive it might not suit you. We had no issues with cell phone service and could stream music and make calls but that could be hit or miss. Thanks Sharon!

Love staying here. House is exactly as advertised, cabin in the woods on a beautiful creek! Only downside is water. Sulfer content is extreme and makes smell of water quite bad. Owners supply fresh water which is awesome!

A wonderful retreat to unwind. The cabin was beautiful as well as the porch view of the creek. I wish I could have stayed longer. I could never get tired of this type of setting. As a recent cancer survivor I could honestly say it was just what the doctor ordered. I would highly recommend this slice of heaven to anyone who needs time away from the hustle and bustle of the real world. Thank you Sharon for being a wonderful host. I would truly love to come back again.

A nice little getaway
This property/ listing is exactly as described. A little rustic, off the beaten path gem. Definitely limited service as they clearly stated so don’t expect to surf the net! But who needs the net when you have nature. We had a group of 8- 5 adults, 2 teens and a 9 year old. A smidge tight overall, esp with only one bathroom… but hey, when you know what you’re getting yourself into, you can prepare!

A WONDERFUL ESCAPE
A rustic cabin set in a picture perfect location. The grandkids didn't want to do anything besides play in the water with the tubes, hike, and hang out on the screened porch. They didn't even seem to mind that they had to park the Switches. Everything we needed was there, we were able to find everything easily. Sharon was responsive to our one small problem, she had someone there to take care of it within hours. All in all, a terrific vacation!!!

A Relaxing Retreat
The cabin is located right in front of the lake separated by an unpaved road with easy access to the lake. You can hear the sounds of the water throughout the whole house. The place was comfortable and clean (the loft could use more dusting). The owner was quick to respond. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would stay again.

Perfect for rest & relaxtion
If you’re looking for a rustic cabin getaway, this is the place for you. It wasn’t quite as remote as we thought, but it was definitely quiet and peaceful. We were living off the grid, as previous reviews mentioned, because there is no WIFI and very spotty cell service. But this was exactly the type of vacation we were looking for.
The kitchen was well-stocked with the necessary utensils you need to prepare meals, and there are also plenty of restaurants only 10-15 minutes away. We also made good use of the grill and fire pit and everything we needed for these activities was there.
The creek was only steps away. It was beautiful and the sound of rushing water could be heard on the porch and throughout the cabin. Wildlife is definitely plentiful, as we saw several herds of deer on a regular basis nearby and even glimpsed a black bear in the neighborhood.
If you want a break from all the peace and quiet, there are plenty of fun destinations within a 30-minute drive. These include Bushkill Falls, Camelback Mountain Adventures (including ziplines and an alpine coaster), Mt. Airy Resort & Casino and tons of hiking and biking trails ranging from leisurely hikes to more strenuous workouts.
I would highly recommend this cabin and hope that we can return to the cabin sometime soon!

Pretty view
Overall we enjoyed this property, but felt there were a few issues that should be addressed. The electrical did make us quite nervous. We also felt for the price of tv’s, a tv with an hdmi wouldn’t be too hard of an update. Could also use a really good cleaning.
Loved the location and the privacy though, and the creek was lovely.

Very peaceful
Beautiful and quiet location. The screened in porch was lovely. There were storms and we lost electricity twice for a number of hours (Once with the road blocked by a fallen tree) but the local electrical workers got it back up and running for the area. The creek is lovely and the house well equipped for a cabin. Outdoor grill worked well. There really is almost no cell service available. A walk up the road might be enough to get or send texts but not much more.

Surpassed Already High Expectations!!!
The kids absolutely loved all of the amenities the property had to offer. It felt like we had our own little part of the creek to ourselves! Truly perfect for children.
We adults loved the rustic feel, the ambiance of the porch, and just relaxing around the campfire.
Sharon was extremely helpful and timely with all of our questions
I would absolutely suggest to anyone lookin g to get away from the craziness of this world for a few days.!

Great spot for a getaway
We really enjoyed our time there. The house is on a remote wooded gravel road that runs along the creek. All of the homes are beautiful log cabins. The "lot" to one side of this cabin is still wooded so it felt extra remote (but we also barely heard/saw people from other cabins). The creek is right across the tiny street so you can see and hear it from the cabin.
We went during a heat wave so I was worried about climate control. But the AC was very effective and the cabin was actually cool enough from all the shade that we only used the AC half the time.
We saw a family of deer cross the stream, lots of birds, a bunny, and a frog. The main queen bed was comfortable (didn't use any of the others). The loft with 2 twins and a queen opens right to the main area (no wall/door), just FYI. The cabin was well equipped with kitchen items plus some other extras like chargers, bug spray, etc.
Even though it feels very remote it's about 10 minutes from lots of restaurants and stores, and there were plenty of good hikes within a 30 minute drive. I'd do as much planning as you can beforehand though since the lack of cellular data is real.
Thanks for the great time!

Stream-front, rustic cabin, close to excursions.
My five year old son and I rented this cabin for a few days with the plan to play in the stream and hike around the woods. This cabin delivered exactly that and acted like a nice home base between mini excursions.
If you're looking for marble, breakfast in bed and the more glamorous side of glamping, this isn't the place for you. BUT, if you're looking to unwind, turn your phone off (because ATT reception is spotty) and generally have a family- and/or rest-centric vacation, this is a great option.
While my son tried to catch minnows, a deer crossed the water maybe 20 feet away: he was THRILLED. We found some caterpillars on leaves in the woods behind the house and he made his first s'more in the nicely stocked firepit without any help.
Set your expectations accordingly and you'll have a great time!
