The property was accurately described. Great location, conveniently located to the airport and Yankees stadium. While the furniture and fixtures are dated the property was clean. We had several flight delays and arrived well after midnight. When we arrived the kitchen sink had numerous bugs moving about. They appeared to be roaches. If we had arrived during the day we would have checked out. I messaged the owner first thing in the morning. He quickly responded and sent an exterminator over within a couple of hours. There were traps under the sink with many dead bugs. The exterminator did not believe the house was “infested” and he sprayed. The main issue we had was we intended to cook breakfast and lunch at the house and have dinners out. We were not comfortable cooking and therefore the trip was more expensive than we budgeted. Honestly if not for the bugs in the sink and the occasional bug we saw I would have given the property a 4 with the only discount due to the age of the property and furnishings. Due to the bugs we would not go back again. I wanted to leave but we had three families with children and our options were limited.

Our family thoroughly enjoyed our time at the Mediterranean Villa. The villa fit the needs of our family of nine, including three teenagers. The house had everything that we needed including, all kitchen utensils, plenty of towels, and beach towels for all of our group. The outdoor areas were our favorite part of the villa. We spent most of our time either outdoors by the pool and dock, or in the screened in porch, which is where we ate most of our meals. The pool was heated to 86 degrees, so we were able to enjoy the water even on a couple of cooler days. Gerard offered to raise or lower the temperature of the pool to be sure we could have it to our liking. Having the boat was a huge bonus compared to other rentals. Gerard was a great host and took us out on the boat to show us where to go and where to find a small secluded beach and restaurants. We had a small issue with the boat motor and Gerard was there within 30 minutes, fixed the motor, and we were on our way out to the bay in no time. He was attentive to any needs we had, and checked in occasionally to see if there was anything we needed. We could not have asked for a better host. We went to a beach bar called Whiskey Joe's by boat and had good food and enjoyed the beach. If you are looking for a place to enjoy fishing, swimming, hanging out outside and just enjoying the weather, I would recommend Gerard's place.

We traveled 23 hours to stay at what we thought was a Mediterranean Villa. To start, the loft is not sleepable unless you want to sleep on a wooden surface topped with a mattress pad that is flat as a pancake and very used, to include holes in it covering. The bedroom stated to have the ability to convert from two twins into a queen/king was simply two beds of different heights pushed together. Not conducive for a couple looking for a nice vacation but more what you would find going to visit a relative and sleeping in their kids room for free. Zero cleaning supplies except for a can of Lysol The only thing Mediterranean was the color and the stucco which was pealing and faded. The toilet in the hallway ran the entire time we were there. Cockroaches were in abundance in the dishwasher which also was very old. Second story deck is very dangerous, Staggered stairs to second floor with a railing only on the structure side completely open on the opposite 25’ to water, 20’ to below deck wide open. The boat has no power steering holes in the screened in porch, broken door There were no Kayaks No lobster pots The crab trap was so disgusting it left green sludge on your hands when you tried to pull it up and had barnacle like adhesions so you couldn’t even lift it, due to its weight. You need extreme arm strength to steer the boat Bc of the affordability we were willing to overlook all of this. Part 1

Host was very cordial and helpful. Taking the boat out was very enjoyable by all our guests. Tries our hand with fishing, but no luck. Did get to see dolphins and manatees however. The location of the property provides easy access to lots of conveniences, food, shopping. It was a very quick and easy trip to and from the airport. We had plenty of room for the 7 of us. The kitchen was amazing with nearly every immenity you could ever need. Just wished that the week didn't go by so fast 🙂

The house is absolutely as advertised, and I found nothing I needed while I was there. The owner is extremely responsive and accommodating!

What a wonderful location - the privacy and the wild life are terrific. It was so much fun to go out and cruise on the pontoon boat. The host is easy to communicate with and very accommodating. The kitchen is very well stocked and there is plenty of room to gather the entire family or to find a quiet place to read and relax. Comfortable beds with great linens and towels - showers had plenty of hot water and great water pressure. We really enjoyed the pool and late nights on the patio playing cards.

This home met all of our expectations and more! It was very clean, spacious and well equipped. We had 12 people and slept comfortably. We ate in a lot of the time and the kitchen had everything we needed for our family meals. The cooled pool is really refreshing in August and the dock is huge! The pontoon boat was great. Gerard led us to a small secluded beach that we spent hours at. Takes a little bit to get there but very worth it. Quiet and safe neighborhood and everything is a short drive away. Busch Gardens/Top Golf/ and Jetski rentals were all a blast. Proximity to the airport (15 mins) was key for us since we had 2 family's flying in. This is a great home for families and close groups. Our host Gerard was great. He was very accessible and gave us our privacy. He really knows the area and water well. It was truly a dream family gathering in a beautiful location.

On vacation you need a place to stay so you can go play. This home, however, is a vacation in and of itself. We built memories here we will talk about for years. From the beverage pool (which was enjoyed by the adults and our young granddaughter alike), to watching sunsets from the sundeck (which is about 20 feet off the ground, as shown in picture #48) to playing Family Feud Disney Edition on our last night together (loved by the adults and teenagers too, and was provided with the home), to taking the boat to a local restaurant (Bahama Breeze), making smores on the grill in the screened in porch, to watching a movie on the huge TV, and seeing rays and dolphins swim right down the canal, this pace is great. Kitchen is well stocked to even include dishwasher soap and trash bags, and there are plenty of towels and a water heater that somehow kept up with a family of 9 all showering. And plenty of room for all of us, too. The host is nice, things are in good shape and work well. The only thing we did make note of is the home is a bit more dated in some ways than pictures show (the bikes are a bit rusted---but we weren't going to use them anyway----and the boat is a bit more in used condition now than the pictures show). But this does not defer me from still giving this place, and its host, the 5 stars that it clearly deserves (just be aware, but not discouraged). We went to Tampa to play in Tampa. We left with just as many memories from time spent at this great home. Thanks Gerard, we wouldn't hesitate to come stay here again and highly recommend it for others, too. Thanks for a great experience. (PS...it's only about 10-15 minutes from the airport, too, which is super convenient. And the grocery store is less than 5 minutes away, yet you're still tucked away quietly in a nice neighborhood). As you can see from the multiple 5 star reviews, it's a great place to stay!

We were boat novices, but Gerard gave us a tutorial on the driving the pontoon and we were out on the boat almost every day of the trip. We saw dolphins on each and every trip out to the bay and we even saw a few manatees! My family also got in a good amount of fishing right off the dock. The house had everything you need, including full amenities in the kitchen, lots of fishing supplies and thoughtful touches throughout to make you feel at home. I worked for one of the weeks of our visit and there was a great little office room with a door for privacy which works really well for those that need to get a bit of work done while they travel. The pool was wonderful to cool off in the hot sun. We also found plenty of good spots nearby for delicious food and there was a lot of opportunities nearby for other water fun (Jet-ski's, speed boats, etc)! We can't wait to come back and visit again!

Property was great. The boat was the best feature as you can take it to multiple beaches. The worst part was the owner living next door and watering the grass at 10am everyday. When on vacation I like my privacy.

Very clean and comfortable home. The owner lives next door so there is always a quick response if you need anything from toilet paper to a Christmas tree! We brought our Apple TV because the tv was a little too much for the grandparents to navigate. I’d stay here again and again. The pool is heated and very nice to hang out in. We were there for Christmas and had a great time.

This is a fantastic property! Easy access to the airport and everything that surrounds Tampa Bay. The home is clean, fun and relaxing. Gerard the owner is great to work with. Asked us to "let him know if anything was getting in the way of having a good time". Fortunately for my family, nothing did. Highly recommend!

4 families of 4 so the bedrooms were a little challenging but we made it work. Loved that the property had all cooking utensils and grill. Really close to everything so quick trips to the stores were nice. Quiet neighborhood. We all really enjoyed our stay.

The house was perfect for our large group. Between the porch and the open floor plan there was space for everyone to eat and relax. The yard was the perfect back drop for our family pictures. When you're at the house you feel far away from things but Tampa, Dunedin, Safety Harbor, the beaches, St Pete are all close. Great experience! Thank you

Gerard was 5-star all the way. House was super easy to find, check in, etc etc. we were displaced for a week while our home was fumigated for termites and Gerard’s fish haven spoiled us. We used his pontoon boat and thoroughly enjoyed seeing porpoises up close right outside the neighborhood. Beds were comfortable. Towels galore. Everything was clean and well labeled. Daughter loved it so much she cried when we came back home.

Great house with everything! Pontoon made it worth it! Went everywhere by boat - fishing, to eat, and beach areas! Gerard was great to work with and was literally next door if we needed him. Great time!
