We loved our stay. Home had everything we could possibly need. Comfy and cozy. The porch with the rocking chairs was a favorite. A perfect little spot of serenity. We enjoyed the beach and appreciated the chairs and umbrella. Thank you!!!

The house was PERFECT! We enjoyed having morning coffee in the rocking chairs beachfront, hanging out on the beach watching the surfers and having dinners on the porch under the starry sky. WONDERFUL!!!!

Really enjoyed this house. Excellent layout. The house was very clean and well stocked.The screened on porch with the rockers is fantastic. i’ve been to Folly Beach eight times, this was our favorite house. Just a couple negatives, as with previous reviews it was hard to cook ;the smoke alarm goes off way too easily. I felt the mattresses were adequate at best. The shower in the Jack and Jill bathroom drains very slowly. To summarize, there are a few little negatives, but I would definitely rent this house again with no reservations.

We pick properties that have "beach access" st part of the property. Upon arriving at the house we saw that the end of the boardwalk to the beach ended at the dunes and did not continue down to the beach. I understand that Mother Nature intervened and that can not be the property owners fault. There was a public beach access next to the property but this was not safe. It appears that someone had cut a small channel into the dunes that acted a path. It was about two feet wide and was a step angle to go up and down. Again, I understand that the beach has been compromised but this was not a good option for a beach access. My wife had elbow surgery right before we took our trip and it was very difficult, and dangerous, for her to get to the beach and back was extremely difficult. The house was awesome and Folly is always great but we felt that some warning should have ben given about the beach access. That is a priority when we book a house and it was even more important this time with the medical situation. The fact that we did not ave beach access, as advertised, was bad enough but the alternative was unacceptable. We paid extra for this and had the same beach access as the people across the street. I know you can't control beach erosion and problems like this but if someone pays extra for beach access then they should be made aware of the situation and at least offered a discount. Thanks

Foursenior women stayed at Back Home for a long weekend! Everything about the property was excellent! It was a wonderful way to spend time together in a quiet oceanfront cottage that was cleaner than clean and provided all that we could need! Can’t wait to go again!!!!!

Everything about Back Home was perfect! We absolutely loved relaxing here for a week. We had some rain and cold weather, so we spent a lot of time at home working puzzles and playing cards, napping, and enjoying doing nothing.

The view was fantastic and the location was great. Liked the set up of the bedrooms and bathrooms for two couples. The house was clean and had everything we needed. The only non-5 star item was the living room furniture was very uncomfortable.

We loved our stay at Back Home. The house opens onto the dunes & beach and the big porch has rocking chairs, picnic table and a swing. We watched the surfers, swam ourselves, and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. There were a few things that need attention to, however. The fire alarm went off whenever we cooked anything, which was really annoying. There just doesn't seem to be any ventilation to the outside with the oven, even with the fan on. The king bed in the master bedroom was OK to sleep on. however there is a divot in the middle that made it a bit uncomfortable for a couple. The double bed and the twin beds are very uncomfortable -- twin beds are super hard and the double was fairly hard as well. We felt like the 3 bears trying to get comfortable. That said, it's a marvelous spot -- easy walk into town, not too close, not too far.

Pluses of this house - on the beach, location to town, great screened in porch, large bedrooms and living area.
Minuses - needs some updating and deferred maintenance addressed, especially deferred maintenance in the bathrooms, like broken fixtures. Made three calls to Vacasa for maintenance issues - all three were responded to in a timely fashion and were fixed.

The property is great. Right on the beach with private access. Wonderful parking and great location - easy walk to town. Great layout of 3 bedrooms. Well equipped kitchen. There are a lot of birds on the property and they are noisy !! If you are a light sleeper, you should bring ear plugs for early morning bird chatter.

The property is great. Right on the beach with private access. Wonderful parking and great location - easy walk to town. Great layout of 3 bedrooms. Well equipped kitchen. There are a lot of birds on the property and they are noisy !! If you are a light sleeper, you should bring ear plugs for early morning bird chatter.

We stayed at Back House in the off season and it was amazing. The beach was still beautiful, house had an amazing view and Folly had some delicious restaurants to eat at. Highly recommend the area and this house in particular. Also, Vacasa was a great management company to work with. They checked in, made sure we were safe and warm when the weather turned cold and were quick to reply to any questions.

We stayed at Back House in the off season and it was amazing. The beach was still beautiful, house had an amazing view and Folly had some delicious restaurants to eat at. Highly recommend the area and this house in particular. Also, Vacasa was a great management company to work with. They checked in, made sure we were safe and warm when the weather turned cold and were quick to reply to any questions.

This was our 9th annual Mom/Daughters trip to visit Charleston at Christmas time but our first visit to Folley Beach and we will definitely be staying here again!!

We had everything we could have possibly needed. This was our 9th annual Mom/Daughters trip to visit Charleston at Christmas time but our first visit to Folley Beach and we will definitely be staying here again!!
