Location is convenient to visit everywhere in Kyoto, especially downtown around Shijo Kawaramachi, a commercial center.

Staff and hotel and area are amazing. Room lovely. Would definitely go back to Kyoto and definitely stay here. One thing comité by train is tricky but Taxi very reasonable. A little tricky for them to find as streets one way, Once again wonderful staff and breakfast and lounge area with outdoor fire pit. Lovely touches. Thanks for wonderful stay.

ロケーションがとても良かった。 繁華街の真ん中の割に、静かにゆっくりと過ごす事ができた。 ３階のラウンジサービスは、内容、雰囲気ともにとても良いよいと思う。

朝食は全般的にとても美味しくいただきましたが、ヨーグルトの果物が少し残念だった。バナナがすでに黒い斑点が出ていたのもばかりで、梨の色が茶色に変わりかけていて水っぽかった。 シャンプーとリンスがあまり高品質な感じがせず、洗った後の髪がパサついた感じがした。

Emplacement idéal. Quartier très sympa. Nous avons pu rayonner facilement, à pieds, en métro ou en bus. La vue depuis le lobby au 8e est très belle. Chambre très agréable, tout à été bien conçu. Literie incroyable ! Salle de bain superbe. Amenities de qualité. Petit spectacle de Noh très intéressant. Vraiment un super séjour dans cet hôtel !

J’ai été très étonnée que la personne de la réception refuse (très gentiment) de faire une réservation dans un restaurant pour moi par téléphone (seul moyen) car c’était le jour de mon départ et que je n’étais plus tu est de l’hôtel à partir de 11h. Sans doute une mauvaise compréhension…

Great location near river, Gion district, Pontocho and markets. Very stylish bar overlooking city. Nao was a fabulous staff member. Such a warm and friendly staff member who made us feel very welcome.

Location is amazing - close to everything. Room is well-apportioned and spotlessly clean and the bluebottle shop within the hotel complex is a plus.

They forced us to check out on the dot and had staff watching us pack at one point even though we checked out only 30 mins later than the scheduled time. That made us feel rather uncomfortable and disrespected, but I guess all Japanese chain hotels insist on checking out promptly and would not entertain any request for late checkout..

Location, location, location. This place is in the middle of everything, across from pontocho alley and 10 min by foot would get you pretty much everywhere. The room was larger than most rooms in Japan and the fire pit with marshmallows a nice touch, free drinks as well at the lounge area.

The only let down was the buffet breakfast which was tiny. The eggs Benedict and Japanese breakfast were nice but as for the buffet it was just ok.

The location, the services, the spacious room, and specially the shop and the three eateries associated to the hotel.

This location was perfect, so close to shops and sites on foot. Also close to trains . Loved the breakfast, even if it was more expensive than the other hotels on our trip. It was still worth it, considering coffee shops open so late in Japan.

Amazing location and very comfortable room. We were on the 7th floor and the view was superb. We couldn't ask for much more for the price we paid.

If I have to find a negative point, it's that the bartender at the hotel bar is not the best at making cocktails.

the breakfast was really good and they have a guest floor with free wine and soft drinks. the location was really good with lots of restaurants close by.

Awesome Pontocho/Gion location near Keihan and Hankyu train stations. Beautiful new hotel with good-sized rooms and comfortable beds. Great value for the price (we booked early and got a good rate.) Lounge with free drinks available from 2PM to 9:30. The rooftop bar and restaurant looked nice with a great view of Kyoto but we didn’t try it as there are so many other places around. The front desk was unable to secure me a taxi reservation but I easily got a cab at the corner of Shijo across the road from the Hankyu station as there is a taxi pickup location there.
