Fabio was a very welcoming host and always available on WhatsApp if we needed anything. The location was excellent — convenient for the central station, airport connections, and trips to Capri or Sorrento. The B&B is in a building in central Naples, with lots of character, well renovated and very clean. We had a balcony overlooking the inner courtyard, which added to the authentic Neapolitan atmosphere. There’s a great fish restaurant downstairs, a pizzeria across the road, a coffee shop right next door, and a lovely pasticceria just a two-minute walk away. The bed was very comfortable, and the room was clean, pleasant and well equipped.. Thank you, Fabio, for looking after us so well!

There was nothing we disliked, but the surrounding area may not be to everyone’s taste, especially in the evening. The street markets stay open late and there can be some rubbish on the streets. We personally felt safe throughout our stay, and the building itself felt secure, with friendly neighbours

Spacious and functional. Near the railway station

Palazzo Ferrara means Ferrara Palace. This is far from a palace. The building is on a street where a market takes place. This booking.com host has several apartments on 3 different floors of this huge apartment block. The interior, which our room faced, is very run down with washing zigzagging across the interior courtyard at different heights. There is a lift but you have to be slim and agile and have tiny luggage to hold the swing doors back enough to get in while keeping the outer door held open. We didn’t receive any instructions about how to get in until we were standing outside. It had taken us some time to find the place as we’d had no directions and the apartment block has several different signs by the large wooden door. I had to ask for the door code. We weren’t met in person. There were two palazzo Ferrara doors on floor 3 and we had not been told about this and tried to get in the wrong one. The bed cover had a 8-10cm diameter stain on it (see photo) and other marks. There was a notice in the bathroom (see photo) which is authoritarian and unwelcoming. Reviews talked about an excellent breakfast which we were looking forward to, but I was told we hadn’t booked that. My bad for not double checking the booking. I am at a loss as to how this property has a 9.3 average rating. One of my most disappointing overnight stays.
