We had a wonderful stay at Bajo Kunda. Omar, Aisha and Joyce really make you feel at home and they were so helpful and kind to us. The place itself is a calm oasis in the middle of the busy city, we loved the green garden filled with banana and mango trees. Our room was great, spacious and nicely decorated, it had everything we needed and the bed was comfortable too! This guesthouse is perfect for people who want to get away from the touristic resorts and get to know the real Gambia. It's close to local shops, restaurants and bars and at a walking distance from the beach.

The location was great.. Host welcoming and friendly. The apartment clean, tidy.and spacious. Will return and recommend.

Nothing to dislike

The guesthouse is leaded by a friendly and helpful family. The staff is really wonderful. The place is very central. It is situated at a good quarter of town and you can reach the beach in 10 minutes by walk. Also there a restaurants, shops and local transport easy to get. The guesthouse itself is in a quiet and beautiful garden and yard. Everything is very clean and amazing. If you want the boss lady cooks you a wonderful meal.

We needed a short stay after landing in Gambia, and found Bajo Kunda which is kinda close to everything, and very cheap. The value for money is super, and the staff is incredibly friendly and helpful in referring taxis etc.

The guest house is a bit out of the way, compared to some of the other (more expensive!) options. It's a solid 10-15 minute walk away from the main eating/drinking street, which is a lot when it's on unlit and very wonky streets.

Nice smallish guesthouse ..its in middle of an upgrade but didn't detract from our time there ..basic facilities ..big living room .. bedroom and bathroom .. 5 mins from Senegambia strip .. friendly staff

Had bag stolen from room which ruined entire trip Poor security , poor check in check out and payment arrangements. Entry gate falling off hinges , only one small towel supplied. Poor stairway and landing lighting. Staircase to rooms in poor condition. Major building work was ongoing and there was no safe entry path to rooms , had to walk over building hazards at night.

Omar and his family are very nice and helpful people. Omar speaks English. It's good experience for every proper traveller. Place is nice and quiet. Room has fridge, bathroom ok

The staff was very helpful and nice. The room is clean and I really felt home there as the place is managed by a local family who lives downstairs.

We had a very nice stay at Bajo Kunda. It's a Basic appartement with everything you need. They are still renovating the place and developing the place. Omar was there when we had a question and tried to make the stay for everyone nice. Generator is there and wifi is good :).

We only had a fridge in the kitchen so sometimes our drinks were frozen 😊

The cleaning lady came in the room and took my toilet bag away with all my medicines in that i needed ! They should better place a basket for rubish so that they don't throw away anything from the clients!! The wifi upstars was very poor. If you want good wifi ask for room downstairs.

Great and welcoming hosts, the appartement is spacious and fully equippt. We felt like home. The tarrace and garden to relax is also remarkable.

I like the staff are very kind and friendly. They were as nice as a pie. There was good internet services as well.

The room lack TV screen, and level of the cleaning which I think related to the ongoing work. Full fumigation will be useful to kill the cockroaches or any insects.
