Si trova a 100 m dal suo cottage gemello, Whitecaps Retreat (VRBO ID - 1071521) - abbastanza lontano da avere privacy, ma abbastanza vicino se due gruppi volessero affittare entrambi i cottage. As a family, we were looking for a rental that would allow our entire family to be able to just spend time together. This property certainly allowed for this. Ourselves, as grandparents, along with each of our two children and their spouses had their own spacious bedroom and bathroom. The grandchildren were thrilled to make use of the bunk room. We had no issues finding the property and found things to do in the immediate area - just crossing over and back on the ferry to La Have (and of course the bakery!) was an adventure for the grandkids. The appearance of two deer while we were eating breakfast was another highlight for our three year old granddaughter. The house was well equipped for us to prepare our own meals. It is apparent that the hosts have thought of their guests every possible need. The view from the upper balcony and lower deck allowed for us to just relax and take it all in. The stargazer pillows and blankets were a big hit and put to good use. Definitely would recommend this home!

Located just south of Lunenburg and about 90 minutes from Halifax. Perfect if you are looking for restuarants, shopping, siteseeing, but want to experience the quite of rural Nova Scotia.

Peaceful, beautiful, clean, quiet with everything one could need while on vacation. The three King beds were the most comfortable beds any of us had ever slept on…wow! Great for 3 couples traveling together…3 full baths as well! For anyone traveling with kids the additional bunk beds are an extra bonus. We loved the view and location too!

We had a wonderful 2 week stay in this very comfortable cottage.The added bonus of a private beach was fun and even though the water was chilly it was a great place to spend a few hours before lighting the fire pit in the evening.
Lunenburg is an easy drive with many great restaurants and the ferry across to the bakery in LaHave is close by also. Peggy’s cove is slightly further but a good place to visit.
Overall I would highly recommend Whitecaps as a great place to stay.
I would also like to thank Andy for checking in on us when the storm arrived to make sure we were doing ok. Thankfully it didn’t deter us too much as the gas bbq and fire pit were made good use of when the power went out.

Beautify property. Great panoramic views from atop the hill. Property was new and very clean. Numerous small attention to detail items put in place by hosts to make it an extra special stay.

It was the perfect family vacation spot for my family, and for my parents and in-laws who were also with us. The house was everything we had hope for and more! The location, the view and all the little touches included with the property were amazing! The 3 spacious bedrooms with king sized beds were very comfortable and my son loved his room with the bunk beds and “his furniture”. The upper deck was a favourite spot to sit and relax and to enjoy some drinks. We also really enjoyed the screened-in lower deck to eat dinner and avoid the bugs. The beach was fun to explore and surprisingly the water was warm, considering the weather wasn’t the sunniest. We all enjoyed our vacation on the East Coast and made many great memories! We would love to venture back one day!

We had a lovely stay at this property! Views from every room and clear nights on the upper deck were amazing! The beds in the main bedrooms were very comfortable! We found plenty to the do in the area, with the caves at Ovens Natural Park being our fave.
The property was clean and had the essentials. We also saw a deer mama and her baby walk across the property as well as a bald eagle!
It was a great week-long 40th birthday stay!

To start off we as a family of 6 adults were supposed to be in Las Vegas but the situation changed, and we don't regret the change in plans.
A beautiful property with stunning views. A well-equipped property from the kitchen to the bedrooms. Beds super comfy the 3 bathrooms a bonus. As a group we had lots of space.
Would highly recommend this property.

We enjoyed our stay at Whitecaps Summit. The view of the water, the fog rolling in, and the sunsets were beautiful. The beds were very comfortable. Did day trips to Lunenburg, Peggy’s Cove and Halifax. The weather didn’t cooperate with us, so we stayed in and played cards and watched Netflix.

Great place, wonderful views and so comfy! Quiet and beautiful. Beds were amazing and so were private baths, outdoor areas very nice also! Thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and the great location. Fell in love with NS and the people! Definitely a great stay!

The house and location were fantastic, and the host paid attention to details. We used the outdoor blankets to stargaze and the beach chairs and boogie boards to have a great day by the ocean.

We have no doubts as to why this property has received "premier" status. From the design of the home, with its spectacular views and open and spacious floor plan, right down to the smallest amenities in the kitchen and bathrooms, this vacation home is well-appointed.
We had a wide range of ages from 5 to 69. The kids loved the bunk room, the adults loved the outside dining experience and everyone enjoyed the firepit, stargazing on the upper deck, and the beach at low tide.
This property is just remote enough to provide the right amount of privacy and sense of adventure but close enough to town to get necessities.
Whitcaps Summit Beach House was an outstanding experience for the entire family.

Beautiful Location
The views from this property as well as sunsets were absolutely beautiful. Our grandkids loved the beach especially when tide was out and they could play on a little sand island. Beds were very comfortable especially after a day of exploring. Loved location, far enough away from Lunenburg, but close enough to go out for dinner in one of the wonderful restaurants in town, very quiet and peaceful
Only regret we didn’t book two weeks!!

Excellence at the Summit
We have rented homes through VRBO for the last 10 years and the Summit house is by far the best. The location, the views, the layout of the home as well as all the amenities are excellent. I highly recommend the Summit to anyone wanting a GREAT place to spend a wonderful vacation. We stayed a week and only wish it could have been longer.

My family had the best time at the Whitecaps Summit! The house was beautiful and had everything we could possibly need. We loved being able to walk on the beach, enjoy the incredible sunsets and visit all the surrounding towns. We were even able to get some local lobster in Riverport that tasted amazing! We will definitely be back :)

Very clean and new. Had all essentials we needed. Lots of firewood and amazing sunsets. Great location to explore the South Shore of NS.

So many things were perfect about this trip:
1) the sleeping arrangements were ideal for our large family of 9
2) it was pet friendly for small dog
3) it was close to the beach and a short drive from some amazing amenities (Rose Bay General Store and LaHave Bakery)
4) low tide was shortly after noon the three full days we were there, which made it perfect to enjoy (high tide does not leave a lot of beach)
5) the weather could not have been better. Sun, heat, and light breeze - tropical!
If it had been raining out entire stay it might have gotten a bit tight for everyone, but thankfully it all worked out and we had an amazing trip.
