We had a wonderful weeklong stay at this property, the location is amazing and it has such a beach cottage feel, we loved it! It was easy to get to, the property owners were available to quickly answer any questions and it was a short drive from our visits to downtown Lewes and Milton and the boardwalk at Rehoboth. Loved that we could be on the beach in seconds and had amazing views from the sunroom and bedrooms. We will definitely be back!

Not that they claim to have one but I overlooked it in the listing. If you prefer to cook, just know you’ll be hand washing everything. The kitchen is well stocked with pots, pans, utensils, knives, plates, etc. and all are in good condition. If you’re renting in off season, there are limited food options nearby, even in food delivery apps. Despite what Google says, the nearby store/deli is only open for the summer season so not an option for off season renters. It will be great for any summer season rentals as it’s an easy walk down the street. Again, these comments aren’t meant to negatively reflect on the property, just things I would’ve wanted to know ahead of time so hoping it helps a future renter! Three friends and I just stayed at the beach house and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves! The house was wonderful - comfortable and cozy, while still providing more than adequate rooms/nooks for each of us to have our space. Everything was very clean and beautifully decorated, and the kitchen and bathrooms were well-equipped for our needs. The owners responded quickly and helpfully to the few questions we had. As wonderful as the house is, the location was even better! We were steps to the beach, with perfect sunrise viewing from just outside the back door. We absolutely recommend this property and hope to be back soon!

My two sisters and I stayed at the home for one week September 25, 2021 through October 2, 2021 - it was the perfect sister get away; we slept to the sound of ocean/bay waves. We spoke to the owners to get some additional information on the home; call backs were timely and they are very helpful and a joy to speak with. The home was very clean and we wished the vacation was two weeks rather than one. The neighborhood was very quiet and beach access was great as the property is beachfront. We all had a great time!

We very much enjoyed our stay and the house was perfect for us. It is beautifully decorated, completely redone/modern, clean (with the exception of the oven and the blinds in the kitchen which could use a thorough cleaning, but no biggie), well stocked with bath towels and basic supplies, with a great layout and a game room/extra living area stocked with games and a TV, and in a great location adjacent to the amazing Primehook Wildlife Refuge with all its wonderful trails. Although a winter storm knocked out the direct beach access path (something we were not aware of from the listing on VRBO) , it is easy enough to get onto the beach and the fact that the house is beachfront is terrific so it didn’t create any issue for us at all. Just as an FYI for those who may be unfamiliar with the Broadkill community/area community where the house is located: it is a rather rustic area/community and there are quite a few houses and lots that are in rather run down/overgrown condition and/or under repair. In fact, we were not thrilled to find a GIANT bright green construction dumpster, filled to well past the top with old patio furniture, bed pillows, metal, wood, other furniture and construction debris, in between the front of the house and the house across the street - literally within 6-8 ft of the front door. It was an unfortunate eyesore and made pulling in and out of the driveway with an SUV, with a 3 bike rack on the back, a bit of a challenge. Not the owners fault and they likely had no idea it was even there. It was there until the evening before we left and, thankfully happened to removed while we were not at the house so we avoided the noise and disruption of the removal and came back from being out to find it gone. Again, not the owners fault and likely not something that will happen again. The owners were absolutely wonderful to deal with, very thoughtful and kind, and provided excellent and timely communication. The gift of note cards printed with a picture of Broadkill Store that we found waiting for us in the table was a lovely gesture, thank you! We would absolutely recommend this house to anyone looking for a beautifully decorated, clean, and completely updated house in a scenic, convenient and quiet location. Our son wanted to celebrate his 5th birthday at the beach this year. We haven't been anywhere in the last 15 months because of the pandemic, so this was a much needed vacation. This was our first time at Broadkill beach, and it was the perfect location. We basically had the whole beach to ourselves. The house was so beautifully furnished and decorated. It was clean, comfortable, and our son liked it so much that he was ready to move in, as he kept referring to our place back home as "the old house." Jess and Tom were quick to respond to all of our questions and a pleasure to work with. We highly recommend this property and look forward to booking again some day.

The home was very clean and exactly as described. Tom & Jess were incredibly responsive and easy to work with.

House was clean and well stocked. Location was fantastic. Had an issue with the septic and the owners responded and fixed it immediately. House size was fine for 4 adults 3 kids.

This was a lovely place to stay. Right on the beach in a super quiet neighborhood. The house was clean, well-stocked, and just right for us. Nice!!

My boyfriend and our two friends (also a couple) were looking for a getaway near nature to unplug for a week. This was the perfect spot! We didn’t enjoy downtown much, but the home, space and beach was just what we needed! Good place for two couples because of the two living spaces and ample bedrooms. We felt like it was a great space to watch movies, play games, or explore outside. Great kitchen too, we cooked a lot.

My family had a wonderful time. We plan to book again. The only unexpected thing was that there was not direct beach access.

The house is a perfect oceanfront getaway, full of cozy charm. Well equipped kitchen, ocean views from every room, quiet beach. Ideal for our winter weekend getaway.

Perfect escape from the cities (DC and NYC) for our small group of friends. We traveled with 2 infants and the sitting room with a television, plush carpet, comfy couch, and spectacular ocean views was the perfect playroom. The beach was right outside for oceanside walks, and the quiet street was ideal for exploratory runs. Good for the group that wants to spend nights cooking and enjoying one another's company.

Loved every minute of our time in this beautiful house. Location couldn't have been better. A restful and restorative weekend at the beach. Hosts were kind and communicative.

We stayed as a family over Thanksgiving, and it was a glorious getaway, especially during Covid. The location is ideal and the view of the ocean is fantastic, with the sunroom lined with windows. The house itself is immaculate and completely updated. We stayed during colder weather, but it would be a perfect spot during summer months as well! If you are looking for some room to spread out (2 living areas and many seating areas outside as well), this is a great find. Finally, the hosts were excellent and extremely responsive to our questions and texts. Would love to stay again.

Love how quiet and private this place was. It was adorable, clean, and very much pleasant. The kitchen had everything we needed. Great internet access and comfy couches. Adorable. The only downfall was there is not direct beach access to walk on. to the beach. You have to walk about 5 -7 minutes for easy access but well worth it. And would also love some throw blankets on the couch areas.

We - two couples - decided to escape DC for election week and relax near the beach. This was a wonderful home for the week away - plenty of space with 2 living rooms and an equipped kitchen. The home is closest to the beach for morning walks along the water or sunset happy hours. Access to the beach is located 50 yards away because of the dune, but it was not an inconvenience. Jess and Tom were responsive, gracious, and created a great home where we hope to return.

This was a great get away. The place is awesome. Lots of room.
