House is just as pictured! Comfy beds and furniture and easy check in. We cooked all our meals at the house and the kitchen was well stocked. We made one trip to the grocery store for our group and had plenty of room with the three refrigerators! Great communication with the owner. We are already planning to return next year!

We had a wonderful 4 day vacation including 2 three year old's and a 7 year old (all boys)! The house is awesome and so much room for the boys to run and play! Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful home with us!

We had an amazing time at this house! It is spacious, comfortable and well stocked. The views of the lake are stunning. Felt warm and inviting. Even the sign entering the front door was personalized for our visit!

This set up of this place worked well. We had everything that we needed. There wAs a beautiful view of the lake from the dock. Probably would have been nice to check in earlier (3:00 pm?). No matter - enjoyed by all.

This house is everything and more stated. It is spotless. They have thought of Everything. The kitchen is fully stocked with more then you need. It was just a perfect Week. We will stay again!

This VRBO, “Happylife” is awesome. It was spacious, clean, and had almost everything you can think of needing. The location is beautiful and allows you plenty of rest and relaxation as well as water activities right in your back yard. I will definitely book this place again.

The house and view are beautiful. The host information was great. They didn't respond to all my vrbo messages but got the essentials done. The driveway was a little intimidating and needs markers on the right side to avoid hitting a retaining wall. My brother did damage his car door and front fender because it was difficult to see. Overall a lovely stay.

Spent a long Girls' Weekend here in mid-September and we had a wonderful, restful trip. Weather was perfect and it is rather quiet here--the only noise we heard was the boats on the water when we were down on the dock, which was no bother at all. House is very roomy with most anything you can think of that you need. Beds were comfy and linens and towels were very nice and soft. Kitchen is well stocked. Certain spots on the upstairs couch are starting to become well-used and were not comfy for sitting. Downstairs couch was much more comfortable. If we would change one thing, it would be to have less trees in the yard for a clearer view of the lake. The trees do provide great privacy, though, so for some, you may like the trees as they are--we personally wished we could see more of the lake. We did have a great view from the dock, though, so we were happy with that. Be prepared that there are ALOT of steps to the dock--over 80. If you are someone who struggles with steps, this is not the place for you unless you are content to sit on the deck to the house and not go down to the lake. If you are up for a cardio workout each time you come up from the dock--you'll love them! Just be smart and pack what you need when you head down to the dock and you can minimize the number of trips. Keep the bottom sliding door unlocked when you head down and you can enter the house from there and have a seat on the terrace level before heading to the main level, if you need it! Driveway is VERY steep and it takes some maneuvering to get back up--it might be tight if you have multiple cars. We only had 2 and had no trouble. Overall though--it was a great place to stay and we would definitely recommend staying here--just know what to expect. Thank you for your hospitality and sharing your lovely home! :)

We had a blast! We caught catfish, bass and bream off the dock. We cooked every day. Anything you need to cook, this home has it. We brought our boat and the dock met our needs there, including an outlet to charge our trolling batteries. The house is large, so we were able to spread out and have our own space. Each couple/set of kids had their own bedroom and bathroom. And there are 2 living areas. So we could watch what we wanted on tv without a fuss with our teens/young adults who had their own area downstairs! I especially liked the extra fridge down stairs. When there are snacks and drinks on their floor of the house, the kids don't wake me if they stay up all night!

Great, well appointed vacation home. Excellent communication for both checking in and during the stay. Inside of house was very clean upon arrival. Note, there are many stairs to get down to the lake so if you have mobility issues, might need to consider this, if considering to rent.

We had a great week! The house was spacious, well appointed and with enough room for people to spread out and have some space. The kitchen is very well stocked, we cooked a lot of great meals, there is everything you might need. We saw lots of deer, enjoyed the lake and the view. We will be back again!

Home was very spacious, beautiful view from the DOCK, loved the 3 refrigerators, grill, multiple paddle boards, kayaks and ping pong table. The kitchen could use a few more pots and non-stick skillets. Family room furniture was not very comfortable. The photos of the walk from the dock to the house were a bit deceiving, way more steps than we expected. Overall, a beautiful vacation home!

Exactly as described online. Kitchen was stocked with any appliance or utensil you might need. The three refrigerators (two upstairs, one down) were a great feature. Never did try the Ninja blender. - intimidating (LOL). Kitchen, bathrooms and all bedrooms were clean. The little bit of dust on some of the fireplace shelves and bookcases was noted by my wife but was minor in my mind (4 vs. 5 stars on cleanliness rating) The two-level floorplan was nice because it provides some separation if needed between bedrooms and bathrooms. Dock had a nice selection of water sports equipment - kayaks got a lot of use. 83 steps from the dock to the bottom level of the house. Quite manageable because of the numerous landings for resting on the way up. Our grand kids (6 & 7 yrs.) had no problems. As the senior at 72 years with some respiratory challenges, I took my time and was able to make 3 or 4 trips up and down every day without a problem. The Cul de sac and road to it would be good for bicycling - little traffic. Well deserving of a 5-star rating. I cannot emphasize that enough.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at your home at Smith Mountain Lake. There was plenty of room for everyone plus a very open floor plan. The home was beautifully decorated and was enjoyed by all of our family. All in all, a terrific house for a large family or group of friends. Our granddaughter loved the room with the twin beds, and she loved all the stuffed animals, toys and books in the room and downstairs. A recommended rental!

By far the most positive experience we’ve had in a vacation home! The house exceeded expectations: all areas were very clean, well-appointed kitchen, comfy beds, luxurious linens, amazing views, huge dock with water toys and great space for our rental boat. Keith was such a good communicator and made checkin and checkout easy. My family with adult children enjoyed the dock from early morning to late at night; the kitchen had absolutely everything we needed for fun family dinners and plenty of seating! Extra fridge space was invaluable! The living spaces were so comfortable. Immaculately clean!! The walk to the water is expected on much of the lake and this is broken up into a few sections, not a bad walk at all. We can’t wait to come back!

This is a very nice property: fresh, clean, comfy, newly remodeled. Pretty decor, nice bedding, towels etc. Well-appointed kitchen. Attention to detail. Upscale feel. Great location on lake. Hope to stay again.

The house is very open and very well equipped. In the kitchen everything was there that you need and at the dock there were plenty of choices of kayak, paddle boards, and vests. It is not a full view of the lake because there are many trees, but this also allows some privacy. It was a lot of steps down to the water but manageable. We certainly enjoyed our stay and were quite satisfied. We will plan to return in the future.
