EDELFUCHS-LODGE

Just a short walk off the Westweg trail towards the end of Stage 3, this lodge is beautifully presented. Rooms are clean and have a sink, the shared bathrooms and toilets are modern. Food is made from regional ingredients and breakfast was delicious. Nice to sit on the deck and watch the sun go down. Quiet night in the forest.

Menu was a little limited, and the outside 24/7 vending machine was almost empty.

Where to begin, this was maybe one of the best places I've ever stayed at. Incredibly comfortable room overlooking the hills, impeccably clean and a very soft bed. The sauna after a long travel day was divine. Very clean throughout the property and tastefully decorated. The restaurant was excellent, I particularly liked their offering of regional dishes. Special thanks to Heidi for taking great care of me upon my arrival. Easily accessible from Baden-Baden by bus. Several trailheads nearby, a sculpture park in the forest right outside the property and more hiking trails accessible by bus (travel ticket provided by Edelfuchs).

The WiFi on the top floor was very slow, which could be a plus if you're looking to fully disconnect for your stay

This time had a pretty small room. But only one night so not a major problem

We booked by mistake one day before we intended to arrive. When we showed up they had rooms and let us stay at no extra charge. Very very kind people, and the location is also stunning
