Lovely quaint old cottage, just what I hoped for.

The fact that there was no tea/coffee, milk supplied. Also no toilet paper or tissues. The hit tap in bathroom basin had no water at all, u was expected to cover up cracks in floor if bathroom so water didn't drip into kitchen below!!! FIX IT!

Great location

Nothing

The location of Jacobs cottage was fantastic, right near the sea and meters from the pub. Cottage was very comfortable. We are huge Doc Martin fans and this place lived up to our expectations. We’ll be back again. Don’t hesitate book this gorgeous cottage.

The location is obviously what sells this property. It's a few steps to the Platt and most of the restaurants. A short walk to the main coastal walks and lovely to dip in out of the small alleyways that make up this village.

The host is a shocking communicator blaming the signal for not being able to get hold of me for 5 weeks! We booked the whole cottage but only one bed was made up; I was told that house-keeping would make the others but they didn't. I phoned and got hold of the host who directed me to the linen to make my own beds up. The shower is sooo small for the size of the property and the bathroom sink is tiny and splashes everywhere you run the tap. We couldn't get hot water for the whole time that we were there. There was a musty smell throughout and I'm sure there were fleas in the rugs in the kitchen as I got bitten on my ankles every time I went down down there. There wasn't anything to wash up with although there was 3 tea towels. The cupboards are full of mismatched items with no full dinner plates. The decor looked tired and faded, the settee covers need a good wash and freshen up. The blinds on the windows are very worn and they don't have the safety lock to tie them up; this property is not suitable for children at all. There are few mirrors and none that are full length and there's no hairdryer nor torches (despite saying there were in the lacking 'Welcome Folder')
