Pros: Large open kitchen/dining/living area with great kitchen and plenty of seating for two large families. Plenty of comfortable sleeping options. The beds were very comfortable!
Cons: The house was not very clean. There was dirt on and under most of the furniture and the refrigerator had an awful smell. The master balcony door was broke and we were not able to go out there. No beach towels were provided. No beach chairs were provided. We have stayed at 4 other properties in this subdivision and have always had beach towels and the large beach chairs and umbrella at the beach. This was very disappointing. There was no lighting behind the house to sit on the patio by the grill after dark. The furniture in the house was very outdated, dingy, and several things were broken, one chair we named “the death trap”. The master shower has way too much mold. There were not any left behind spices, etc. like salt, pepper, cooking oil, trash bags, ziplocks, foil, etc.
Overall, the house met the needs of our families with some positives, the large kitchen/dining with plenty of seating and the beds super comfy and large to be able to spread the kids out. Many of the reviews on the property comment on the same negatives. I thought when we arrived they would have addressed the negatives but they had not. Hopefully eventually they address them because I feel they will lose the business of repeat customers as I would not stay here again unless the negatives were addressed.

The rental is as described. Issues are resolved timely. I would suggest you add a lamp to the 3rd floor bedroom and adjust the checkin time to Aline with other rentals whose is 4 pm. Also require renters to clean the grill before leaving.

We’ve stayed in this house twice now. We love the location as it is close to the pool and the beach. The house was more than enough space for two large families. The kitchen is very spacious and was great for everyone to be able to gather together!

The management staff was AMAZING! We had a few issues and they took care with a great attitude. Taylor and Hailey are exceptional! The house has great bones and the dinning space is wonderful. But the living room seemed empty. DparceLove seat, couch and one chair ( which was a bit dirty) There was a broken glider that was too risky to use. No lamps, no end tables and no rugs so we swept every day. The floors turned our feet ink black. Very nice Housekeeper couple came back and mopped . Much better Very minimal kitchen supplies. Felt like it was definitely lacking a woman’s touch. ONE dish towel?No hand soaps in any sink! And they had to replace coffee maker. First time in 10 yrs we stayed where no beach chairs were provided. We’re just too old to carry chairs and at $6,000 we shouldn’t have to.

Three generations gathered in Sandcastle Dreams and had a blast! The house was spacious enough for 10; the cousins loved sleeping together on the third floor; the kitchen was updated and well furnished for cooking, and the 2 dining areas were perfect for our needs.

Sandcastle Dreams
We love Carillon Beach! This house had a great location- close to beach and pool! It had a good layout. Our only negative feedback is that it could use some updating. The master bath floor needs to be repaired because the tile is not grouted in areas. It also wasn’t quite clean when we got there. There was still some sand on the floors and the kitchen sink needed a much deeper clean than it got. We chose to clean it ourselves and not to bother the management company since it wouldn’t take much time. Overall we had a great week here.

Sandcastle Dreams is a beautiful, spacious home in an adorable gated beach community. The location is great - it's a short walk to the beach, community pool, and downtown Carillon (opposite side of the Carillon Beach Resort Inn). The beach was breathtaking with its blue/green water and white powdery sand. We had a few issues with the house and amenities so that's the reason for the 3 star rating. Royal Destinations was quick to respond by text and tried to get the issues resolved quickly. The washer did not spin out correctly, which made the drying time longer. Maintenance came to repair the washer and it was better but it still took 3 hours to do a load of laundry. The 3rd floor bathroom is a huge concern. The bath tub was draining slow and they fixed it but then the tub starting leaking into the 2nd floor bedroom through the ceiling fan onto the bed. We called and someone came to check it but couldn't fix the issue. They were going to send someone the next day to repair it but it was rescheduled. Luckily this happened on our last night and not at the beginning of the trip. However, it still left 9 people to share one shower. I believe it's an ongoing issue because there is a brown spot on the ceiling of the 2nd floor bedroom beneath that bathroom. Due to the severity of the bathtub leaking onto the bed and the inconvenience of having one less shower in a house that accommodates 14 people, I would not return to this property. I would return to Carillon Beach though.

There was plenty of space in this house for our large extended family get together. The family suite with the extra beds is so helpful if you have young children in your group. The house is beautiful, and the management team was quick to respond and remedy our issues with the floor. A heads up before the landscaping service arrived would have been appreciated, though. The location is excellent, just a quick 5 minute walk to the beach, and the pool is even closer. We loved having the bikes available as well. We really enjoyed our time at Sandcastle Dreams.

Lovely place, great location. Rented for one week so family to be together. Close to pools and entrance walkway to beautiful beach. Close enough to city entrainment and great restaurants if you were not going to eat in the spaces dining room and kitchen. House furnishings were comfortable and very clean. Would definitely consider same location again if and when we return with families.

Royal Destinations provided us with an excellent home for our vacation. We had a microwave problem and notified them and they brought us a brand new replacement within 24 hours. We definitely hope to go back to Sandcastle Dreams again....soon

We had a great vacation at Sandcastle Dreams. The house was clean and very well maintained. It was perfect for our family of 4 adults and 4 adult children. All beds were very comfortable, and we had plenty of space for everyone to spread out. The pictures do not do it justice. The walk to the beach was very easy and short. We will definitely be back!

Great last minute family trip
We really enjoyed this property for our last minutes trip with family. Property was excellent for our family. Very clean and property management were very helpful during our stay. We loved the village and can’t wait to come back. The bike that came with the house provided hours of bike riding through the neighborhood.
I would recommend this property and can’t wait to book again
