The distance was a little far but can't complain when seeing the wild Mustangs in the yard as your cooking on the grill. Pool was nice and the hot tub we didn't use while being there. The bad-
programmed thermostat would change the temperature multiple times a day, based on some unknown schedule, sometimes just minutes after I manually adjusted it. Bedrooms upstairs did not cool well, and on top of that the program would set the temp at 78 sometime overnight so we'd wake up sweating. I messaged the realty company twice about this--then I just gave up. This felt invasive, to say the least.

Beds are all NOISY. the slightest movement causes enough noise to wake up anyone else in the room.

kitchen faucet was about to fall out.

there's almost nowhere to sit comfortably. There's a MASSIVE kitchen island which only leaves room upstairs for a single couch--in a house that sleeps 10, that is nowhere near enough seating, unless you want everyone to sit on (too tall) stools.

oh and the bugs! the pool had a constant layer of dead bugs floating in it. And the Hot tub couldn't really be used after sunset without being inundated by bugs--I'd recommend adding a screened porch. oh and we kept finding live wasps in the house.

While we understand weather happens, NOT ONCE did the rental company (despite a major thunderstorm with flash flood warnings) reach out to check with us or ask if we needed help. We are thankful to a neighbor who helped us! This resulted in two days of vacation lost since we were literally stuck! Thank god no one had an emergency and we were fully stocked with food! Lastly, despite calling the office, the pool left our kids skin so irritated it left scabs on them. The maintenance said someone came to check, but that’s impossible since it turned green. Lastly, There was also mice at this property...since we found plugs to prevent rodents & heard them in the house at night.

Great trip overall. We were missing a coffee pot and the hot tub was not warming up, but the property manager fixed those issues almost immediately. Pool is small. Not many pots and pans suitable for large meals for groups. Listing stated that beach passes were included but they were not. If you need any basics for cooking (spices, oils, etc) make sure to bring them. Owner did provide a water cooler and five 5gallon jugs of water for our use.

The beds really need replaced! Very small rooms with no dressers or desk to put things. Had a leak in game room so kids didn’t go down there at all. I honestly would not stay here again. It served its purpose for us but really I feel was overpriced! The kitchen was well stocked except cookie sheet and muffin pan which we needed both. We just made do with what they had. It’s quiet there and heard no other person at night. The kids enjoyed getting out and walking in the evenings looking for the horses. We were lucky enough to see them a couple times. The place smelled like dogs and the couch stunk terrible! I’m not a animal person so it’s the first thing I smelled upon entering home. I couldn’t stand to sit on couch because of the smell of dog. The place was clean, and the kitchen had all the essentials for us to cook 3 meals a day for the entire week. The pool is small, but our kids loved it, and the hot tub is great feature. All bedrooms have a TV and the downstairs game room was a nice feature. The place comes with 2 parking permits for beach parking, which makes visiting the back ridiculously easy. We just loader all of our stuff into our SUV and then drove for 4 minutes and parked on the beach. We have a Honda Pilot that is technically AWD, but it worked fine. I highly recommend watching youtube videos on beach driving and reducing air pressure before taking the ramp onto the beach in Corolla. One additional point: the wild horses are treat. We saw several on the way to and from the beach, and on the beach itself. And based on some "deposits," it's clear that they came onto the house grounds. The beach itself is amazing. Wide open and not a lot of people. But do be mindful of the cars that drive up and down!

Two of the beds had been changed out from queens to kings which was a nice surprise. The kitchen was well equipped and the island was fantastic. The hot tub on the deck is a little worn but still worked fine for us. The house is cozy but lives bigger than it looks. Each bedroom had satellite TV which was nice and there was a small game room for the kids to enjoy. The house sits on a private street tucked back away from most other houses and the grounds are well kept. We had frequent visitors of the horse variety.

The management company was very responsive to a toilet issue we had and was able to get a plumber out to fix during our stay. My only complaint has to do with the water. We didn't notice at first, but the water must be very high in iron content. It comes out clear, but it left our feet, finger nails and any laundry we did with orange stains. We didn't really notice until the last couple days of our stay so did not alert the management company until we were checking out.
