We loved staying in this cabin. It is very inviting and super well stocked. We used the fireplace and hot tub a lot on the weekend. Being next to the forest meant we would see wildlife like birds, deer and foxes strolling by. Highly recommend!

This cabin was terrific and the amenities were great. We loved the fireplace, hot tub and smoker in particular. Even with the weather not being the best, we managed to get out in the kayaks a couple of times. Melanie was always quick with her responses. The cabin was spotless upon our arrival. Beautiful area. We definitely recommend staying here.

We had a family wedding to attend in Swan River, and decided to stay at this property instead of getting hotel rooms, what a great decision!! The host was fabulous to deal with— she answered our emails very quickly. This properly and area is beautiful!! We didn’t want to leave!

Amazing cabin in a great location. Melanie was extremely helpful prior to arriving with information about the property and the area. The cabin had everything one would need! We will definitely be staying again.

We had a great time with our 6 kids at this beautiful cabin, it's stunning.
It is so peaceful and so relaxing.
We enjoyed the hot tub, and our teens the kayaks:)

We loved our stay at the birdhouse! Check-in was extremely easy, the cabin was very clean and had comfortable beds with lots of sleeping options. We enjoyed our friendly deer who would visit us literally an arm’s length away. Having a fireplace to take the chill out of the fall air was so cozy. The cabin was well stocked with every item we needed including games and puzzles and even a PS3 for the kids. We enjoyed fishing at Wellman lake and visiting the other beautiful lakes in the park. The bike trails were awesome! We hope to return again soon. Thanks Melanie!

Winter Wonderland
We had an amazing time at Melanie's cabin in Duck Mountain Provincial Park! It was truly a winter wonderland! We loved relaxing in the hot tub and in front of the fire after days of exploring the cross country ski trails and hiking trails. The cabin had everything we needed and more! And we didn't miss our cell phones at all :)

Check-in process was very fast and easy, very clean, wood was supplied for the fire place and the hot tub was hot and ready when we got there. Over all the place is super cuite and met all of our expectations and more! Would recommend to a friend!

A gem in the Duck Mountains
5 STARS!!! Beautiful, new and modern cabin in the Duck Mountains to enjoy and unwind! The spacious cabin has a modern yet cozy interior that is warm and inviting and let you relax thru your entire stay. Upon arrival everything was sparkling clean and communication with the manager was superb.
Highlight for us was the hot tub which we used every night. We would definitely come back!
P.S.: No cellphone service or wifi in this area. Make sure to make arrangements before arrival, or use the wifi service at the Welmann Lake resort. Landline phone at the neighbors for emergency calls is provided. While we weren't quite prepared for that, it took us a day to adjust and at the end we truly enjoyed not to be bothered with work, business or constant news about covid etc.
Duck Mountains Park a hidden gem in Manitoba when it comes to tourism. Not as overrun and crowded like other places, which is perfect for everyone who wants to unplug and enjoy nature while hiking, boating, fishing etc. We had been to several places and this has become to one of our favorites!

The write up for this cabin could not be more accurate. The cabin is very tastefully and beautifully decorated, inviting and loved. It was spotless. We spent most of our time on the beautiful deck and the hot tub overlooking the forest directly across from us and the stars above us. Although not a lakefront property we had access to Wellman Lake. The lake is quite calm and peaceful and great for kayaking. We thoroughly enjoyed exploring the neighbouring lakes and the many hiking trails. Melanie was a wonderful host. She was easy to get in contact with and answered all our questions prior to our arrival. Check in and check out were smooth and there were absolutely no issues during our stay. We only wished we could have stayed longer! Thank you again Melanie!
