Palazzo Pisani & Spa Malta

Lovely place, not too big not too small, the staff couldn’t have done more to help make us comfortable

The character it had. Very clearly an old building but had kept in its original state and felt like you were staying in a grand Maltese home of the 18th century.

The only thing I can say is that there was no croissants one morning for breakfast and they were delicious the day before!

The garden and pool are a rare paradise - so much green and so many trees to lie in the shade of. Malta this summer was exceptionally hot and one may feel like there is just not enough shade anywhere. This property is an amazing exception. Alexis is a generous host, super fast at communicating, with lots of tips of what to see and do. What is more, and very much appreciated: he let us stay and enjoy the pool and garden even after checkout (because we needed to be at the airport only later). There is a pingpong table and toys for smaller kids and the pool is open around the clock - a swim late in the evening is often needed in Malta for comfort. In the evening, we had a wonderful meal in the courtyard, prepared with a lot of love and care for our individual needs. Thank you!

A bit more selection for the breakfast would have been great - but taking it in the wonderful courtyard made up for it!

The hotel was beautiful. Rooms were very clean and bed very comfortable. Air con perfect as very hot. Staff were very friendly and attentive and made us feel very welcomed. Pool area was lovely and peaceful to sit around during the day. Breakfast was nice but not what I could expect for a 5* rated hotel.

Rooms were very very small. There was no tea and coffee facilities in room (although couldn’t fit this in) and no fresh water available which I would have expected for the price we paid for room. Felt more like a bed and breakfast than a hotel and extremely over priced on room stay and food/drink prices. Breakfast nice but the same each morning. I didn’t like flies on food - food should have been covered. Owners were lovely and friendly to us but shouted at staff a lot which seemed very unprofessional and sad to hear when they were just trying to do their best. Beds were made daily but sheets or towels not changed during our stay. Booked as stated ‘free parking onsite’ but this is road side and roads around property can be busy at time. Room also stated ‘sound proof’ but this was not true. Definitely not a 5* property but a nice place to stay if priced lower.
