We really enjoyed our time in Marathon and found the house to be in a great location. It is an older home, but very comfortable and the layout with all the amenities made it the perfect place for 3 adult couples to start and end each day.
The kitchen had everything we needed including a large table where we could eat together and plan our day. We really enjoyed the heated pool and appreciated the abundance of pool towels. The doors that lead out to the the pool and canal had an alarms on them (perfect if you had small children) and there was plenty of comfortable seating and lounge chairs. The hostess was also kind enough to provide a cooler and other water toys. We spent most evenings in the game room shooting pool and playing ping pong. Newer pool sticks would have been nice, but these did the job. We certainly would stay again if in the area.

Although the property is located in a convenient area and very spacious for a large family, we will not be returning . Property needs major updates, from bathroom, windows, dock if you plan on bringing boat. We arrived at 4 the cleaning crew was still at the house and on checkout they arrived at 9am when checkout is at 10. Every morning construction started from 630-7am, if this had been outlined on the description we would have picked a different location. I appreciate the responsiveness of the property manager but there was nothing she could do. Kitchen is lacking basic things as a lighter, wine bottle opener amongst other things. The playroom was fun, but like the rest of the property needs some TLC, pool sticks were falling apart.

We really enjoyed the house for our group. We used the game room downstairs often. Great location and easy to get to Vaca cut quickly. Lori always responded right away to any of my questions!

House had plenty of space and rooms. Dock and playroom were big hits with the kids. Awesome having a boat dock and pool. House was clean and well stocked. Would stay again.

Nice place, close to gas and bait for the boat, My daughter in law caught a 50 inch tarpon from the dock! Kinda tight getting the trailer in for a 30 foot boat. All in all, very nice!

Really nice house. Amazing amount of room. James and Lori were very quick to respond to any questions. Plenty of room for out 24’ boat. Nice neighbors and neighborhood. We will be back next year.

This property is an older home, so not perfect, but worked well for our group and was pretty clean - especially bathrooms. Negatives: Definitely Mold or mildew growing some place in the house but this is to be expected in a damp climate like Florida in an older house. I'm noting it here for those who are allergic. Mattresses could used updating - ones in master and queen room too soft, twins and king downstairs were too firm. House next door is being renovated and the workers are doing noisy things in the morning but they were nice and waited until like 9 or 9:30 to use the saw and the pressure washer. :) Positives: The view is great, we even had dolphins in the channel behind the house one evening. The pool is perfect! The kitchen well appointed with everything you need. Plenty of seating for everyone. We really enjoyed the the pool table and the ping pong table! Clean. Overall we had a great time and would stay here again.

Overall the property was nice. It’s an older home that could use a bit of TLC however it is as described in the listing. The location is great. Easy access to both the Gulf and Atlantic. Short distance in the boat or on land to great restaurants.

Was exactly what we needed to explore the Keys! Rented a boat for 3 days so this location was ideal for that. Fished from the patio. Great response when AC stopped working & got resolved same day. Lovely neighborhood. Enjoyed pickleball nearby. Lower level with ping pong & pool table was hit with teens. Heated pool was perfect since ya never know how warm you’ll get end of March. Supplies in kitchen were sufficient.

We had the best time during our stay at this property. We paid to have the pool heated and it was so worth it. The kids spent hours in it every day. The view is wonderful and we enjoyed watching the boats coming and going. It was so relaxing. All the bedrooms were very comfortable and suited our family. We would definitely stay here again!

Overall, a great house. It was spacious and was perfect for two families to stay in together. The house is tired and many of the closets and drawers were filled with random clutter but the location of the house was great. Lots of great fishing right from the sea wall. Pool was great and LOTS of sunshine on the pool deck. Kayaking from the house was also great. Manager was very responsive and helpful with a few issues we had. While the house is very tired and a bit unorganized/dirty, location was great and we will be returning!

Our group of 6 “seniors” enjoyed this place and it’s surroundings! We kayaked the mangroves, biked to Pigeon Key and hiked in Curry Hammock State Park. We also swam at Sombrero Beach and in the wonderful pool at the Vrbo . Dinners out at Sunset Grill, Porky’s and Burdine’s were amazing. But the best meal was ribeye steaks on the gas grill at the condo. (We had a master cook with us!) Coffee on the deck in the morning and wine out there at night. Great fun with great friends at a wonderful place! Thank you!

The property is large and well laid out, with plenty of dining and living space. The lower game level has both pool and ping pong.
The outdoor pool is heated and wonderful. The view is great——more than a canal——-some wide water with lots of boat traffic. Some of the furniture is dated, but quite comfortable. The bathrooms look original. The dishwasher and washer and dryer were indispensable. The host was responsive when the pool heater needed attention. We had a wonderful reunion, and would stay there again!

Such a gorgeous view! Nice to sit out on deck to watch the sunrise with coffee in hand. The breeze made it so comfortable in the heat of the summer. The home was big enough for 2 families. The game room downstairs was awesome!! We spent a lot of time there. The pool was a perfect way to end the day.

This house was absolutely perfect for our family vacation! Phenomenal location, functional and beautiful lay out, and Lori was quick to respond to all of our questions and needs. We hope to make this an annual family trip!

Property appeared as listed. Pool was a nice bonus. Clean, good size and location. Quick response when had questions. Only negative was not having complete rolls of toilet paper and having to purchase additional during our stay. Otherwise, wonderful experience.

Great Location and View
We loved the house and our stay in the Keys. The location is perfect with easy access to the reef or gulf side and the marina and fuel dock is right in the cut so very convienient. The views are spectacular and the pool was great for everyone. The kids really enjoyed the space downstairs and the pool table and ring toss were a big hit although the pool table is on its last leg. The house has some quirks to it (master toilet likes to back up, the exterior door hardware needs to be replaced, and bedroom fan needed a chain so you can adjust the speed), but has plenty of space for the price. Only thing I would change would be a fridge downstairs in the tiki hut area for drinks by the pool. The fish cleaning table and dock space were used daily and we would love to visit again in the future.

The little things made the biggest impact. There were hardly any glasses to use or plastic cups for pool. None of the bowls matched and there wasn’t enough for 5 of to use at same time. Almost every light fixture needed at least one bulb replaced. No lights outside on patio. Towels were in desperate need of replacement. We were using Towels that were frayed with bleach spots. Sheets had rust spots and blood stains on pillow cases. Cleaning could use much improvement. Our feet were black from just walking through house. Pool apparently was heated but we were never told until half through the vacation. Couldn’t use the pool for first 3 days because it was too cold. Grill needed a good cleaning.
We’ve stayed in cleaner more updated homes for much less money. I think we left it cleaner than what how we found it.
Probably wouldn’t rebook for the price we paid. It was a great location with stunning views but I’ve seen others with same views more updated for less money.

Outstanding location
Having vacationed in the Keys for 20+years, this location is one of our favorites. The home in a quiet neighborhood with great access to deep water, shopping, etc is perfect. The home itself could use some furniture updates (need hi-def tvs,), but moreover, deep cleaning (esp, kitchen cabinets, baseboards, etc)and condensing of homeowners personal property in all cabinets, dressers, closets, etc. Way too much personal stuff everywhere and did not allow for empty drawers for guests items. We found the property manager communication thorough especially with follow through for installing exterior lightbulbs and other issues. We had a lovely time and slept like babies the entire week! Beds super comfortable! Thank you for a lovely week.
