Location, location, location!!!!

A bit hard to find

We had a wonderful stay at House by the River. The location is fantastic, just 1.1 km from the P3 entrance area of Plitvice Lakes, which meant we could leave the car at the house and forget about driving or finding parking for our visit to the park. One of the highlights of our stay was Bojan, the owner. He is incredibly knowledgeable about Plitvice Lakes and gave us excellent recommendations on the best way to plan our route. He even drew us a handmade map explaining the park and the different paths. Honestly, that map was so useful and so beautifully done that he should consider patenting it! It was one of the most helpful things we received during our trip. The house itself is very comfortable, clean and cosy, with everything we needed for our stay. The location, surrounded by nature and so close to the park, makes it a perfect base for visiting Plitvice. There is also a restaurant in the neighbourhood where we had the chance to enjoy delicious fresh fish and very good meat, which was incredibly convenient after a full day exploring the park. We would definitely recommend House by the River, not only for its excellent location and comfortable accommodation, but especially for the warm welcome and invaluable local knowledge provided by Bojan. A truly memorable stay! We really reconnected with Nature!!

Dog-friendly e posizione interna al Parco

Arrivati la sera, non c'è un minimo di illuminazione per individuare l'abitazione (la mattina poi abbiamo visto che l'esterno è veramente trascurato, peccato aver cancellato la foto), sebbene l'appartamento fosse appena ristrutturato all'interno, abbiamo trovato un bagno minuscolo ed è dire poco (non c'era neanche lo spazio x sedersi normalmente sul wc), non ci è stata data la password del wifi, il proprietario ha demandato a un vicino di darci le informazioni. Un po fuori mano x mangiare qualcosa, e oltretutto pur essendo anche il parco dog-friendly, nelle vicinanze non c'è nessuna struttura che accetta cani per mangiare quindi bisogna prendere la macchina e fare almeno 20min di strada
