Loved the location and the beautiful dock. Had a relaxing Thanksgiving break. Hosts were super responsive. We hope to stay there again!

We stayed at this location for 11 days, and rented a pontoon boat to enjoy the lake. Our 2 dogs joined us and had a blast at the water front beach.
The house is older but very clean and well equipped.
The location is perfect as you are minutes away from the main lake, and close to waterfront restaurants. We had a beautiful 12 days enjoying the outside location. Communication with the owner(Pat) was fast and great. Thank you for our family to make another set of great memories

We enjoyed a nice relaxing getaway at "Away From It All". The cottage was very comfortable and in a good location. Unfortunately, our family could not make it due to a family emergency. So we had to leave a day early. Our communication with the owner was very "on spot". Pat was very helpful before, during, and after our stay! She answered many questions that we had and made our stay that much better! Thanks for the goodie basket! It was very much appreciated! Would highly recommend this cottage!

We had a wonderful time under the pines at Lake Gaston. Beautifully hidden from the lake, but great views from the dock. The pool and community access point was a bonus. The owner very welcoming and communicates well. The house had everything we needed and more kitchen supplies, games, kayaks etc. House is exactly as described and well worth the visit. Would recommend and can't wait to stay again!

The house was wonderful. We enjoyed our stay. The waterfront was perfect for the dogs. They could jump off the dock and walk up to shore. I wish the water was deeper. This would be perfect for families with small children as the water is shallow for wading. Nice quiet community.

My kids and I truly enjoyed our stay! There was plenty of space for us and our dog, and the house was set up to feel like a home. It was easy to cook most of our meals in the kitchen, which I appreciated. We enjoyed movie nights, game nights, and puzzles in the evenings.
During the day, there were many adventures to be had! The dock was a peaceful place to relax, read, and observe the surrounding nature. It was so fun to explore the lake via the kayaks. The neighborhood had a fun lake access point for swimming!
The hosts were welcoming, communicative, and went above and beyond to accommodate us. We look forward to our next visit!

House- Spacious, Clean, Comfortable beds and couches, well equipped kitchen with paper products, cooking utensils/pots/pans. Enjoyed eating out back on the deck many times and listening to the birds and boats humming in the background.
Hosts- highly responsive and so friendly. Provided a welcome basket which was so appreciated, and such a nice touch upon arrival.
'Extras'- we enjoyed kayaking, going to the community pool and securing our pontoon boat to the pier for potty breaks. Food lion was just a couple of minutes down the road.
My daughter loved swimming in this area because she could swim yet it was shallow enough for her to stand also.
This is our new Lake Gaston home away from home, absolutely loved our stay!

My stay was great! The house has a very cozy atmosphere. I basically lived on the back deck. I had morning coffee there with a book, worked there (wifi was fine),and put together a jigsaw puzzle. The wooded property and lake breeze made it a perfect spot to hang. The house itself has everything that you need. I was given the wrong code for the lock box and thought it was going to be the start of a bad situation, but I was able to contact the owner who immediately offered the correct information. If I lived a bit closer to this property I would definitely consider a yearly retreat!

We visited Lake Gaston for the week to fish. The accommodations were superb with a community boat ramp about a tenth of a mile from the house. The boat dock was tucked away in a quiet cove with the ability to tie our boat undercover and there was ample room to park our trailer at the house. The cove did not disappoint as we caught many fish there. The area was quiet and we were able to watch the sun rise from the porch where we had our meals. The house was very clean and cozy. The bed was comfortable, the shower was hot, and the kitchen was easy to cook in. The grocery store was a five minute drive as was the restaurant where we had lunch and the bakery was a two minute drive. Everything was so convenient. The host was responsive and a pleasure to work with. We will definitely return to Away From It All.

This property was exactly what we needed for a relaxing and peaceful getaway. Very clean, comfortable, and the perfect location. We loved the private dock and the ability to swim, enjoy the lake right there on the property. we had a fantastic time and hope to visit again in the future! Thank you!!

It’s a smaller house but for our family (4 adults and 1 5 year old) it was perfect. The communication with Pat was easy and quick.
The fact that it is on a cove with a great view and a culdesac allowed for the quite holiday we were looking for.

We love staying at “Away From It All”! This is the second time we’ve stayed here and we can’t wait to come back again next year! It’s the best location in the Wildwood subdivision. It’s comfy & cozy & perfect for our family! We highly recommend renting this location. Pat is wonderful and communication was easy.

The Wildwood point home was wonderful. Right on the water in a quiet cove, with a beautiful dock for our boat. The home was very well equipped. So many nice homey touches. My favorite place was the beautiful back porch. The boat ramp was only two homes down from the house. Being able to bring our fur baby was a big plus. We will be back!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Lake Gaston. Boat dock was nice for my son's boat and community ramp near by was very handy. Very pretty place and we all had a nice time. Hosts of the property were very responsive and the property was perfect for our family.

This is our favorite vacation spot at Lake Gaston! The home is comfortable, clean and is close to Foodlion and restaurants. We enjoyed eating all our meals on the covered deck. It's a perfect home for smaller families, but can accommodate six people. We love being on a quiet cove and the ease of launching the kayaks at the water's edge. We always enjoy fishing from the kayaks - caught some catfish and a few bream and bass this trip. Pat is the best host and very easy to work with. Thank you Pat for another wonderful vacation - we look forward to returning in May!

This was the second time we stayed here and it was perfect again! Beautiful, quiet spot on the lake and the kids were able to walk right into the water. We also loved swimming in the community pool. The house was very clean and the owner was very responsive and helpful. We definitely plan on coming back!

This is my second year staying at Pats place. I can’t say enough about how wonderful Pat is to deal with. I have been coming to the lake for more than 10 years and she is the most gracious host, most accommodating that I have ever dealt with. This is the perfect Lakehouse for me. You have everything you need. The kitchen is well stocked and the living room is comfy and cozy. Can’t wait to come back in the winter and use that woodstove! I absolutely love the deck for meals and just listening to nature! The most beautiful sunrises I have ever seen have been experienced down at the dock overlooking the lake. If you are not a morning person, you have to be a morning person at least once during your stay to experience the beauty of a sunrise over the lake . Neighbors are very friendly as well and you are so close to the Food Lion for groceries! Another fantastic week!!

My family and our dog Kaia had a great time. We love Pat's house. I met her in person during check-in and she was very kind to let us come in early before check-in time. Also met her husband. Really nice people. They both take care of the house themselves, and to me that is more personable. I enjoyed the deck at the top level, I wish it's less trees looking at the lake view. Maybe if the smaller trees gone, you'll have a better view of the lake. Anyway, overall it was a pleasant stay. Will definitely come back specially the rate is very reasonable. Thanks Pat & Richard for letting us stay at your home! Take care and stay well. See you next summer!

First Gaston trip of the Season
This is our third Summer renting this property, and we plan to keep on showing up as long as it’s available. Everything about this location is just perfect for our family, which includes young grandkids and fury family members. Pat and Rick do a great job making sure everything is in perfect order when you arrive, and they make us feel like we’re extended family
coming to visit. Looking forward to our next booking and our chance to create more memories in Littleton. 😊♥️

If you are looking for a family getaway with your 4 legged friend, look no further! My husband, 2 nieces, and I brought our dog Shelby to this wonderful cottage. She loved it as much as we did. Super easy access to the water for swimming - we all just strolled right in! It was very easy to keep her close by, as the spacious dock has boat cleats all around that we were able to tether her to on a long lead. If traveling with your pet is as important to you as it was to us, this house is perfect!
The house had everything we needed, and the beds were super comfy. One of our favorite spots was the deck off the living room. Whether it was morning coffee, or grilling out for dinner, it was just such a peaceful spot. My niece said it felt like dining in a treehouse since all the mature trees are so tall and the foliage is beautiful all around.
We used the kayaks on the property everyday, and even rented a pontoon boat from a nearby marina for the day. So fun! Food Lion and other cute shops are less than 5 minutes away. Dinner at the The Pointe at Lake Gaston was super fun with live music.
We had a wonderful time and would come back again for sure!

Pat was great and house was perfect for what I needed.
Although I was not using the house for vacation it was perfect for what I needed while I was working close bye. It was clean and had everything I needed. Perfect little getaway for me and my coworker. Have stayed here before and will definitely stay again.
