We loved this house with its rainforest garden. Beatiful, clean, well equipped with an extra bonus for the kitchen. Nice outdoor deck with a lovely jaccuzzi. We would gladely return often if it was closer to Stockholm, Sweden. :-)

Love the property , some things on it though have been neglected. Hottub , some rusting, etc, just needs a little tlc.

Great location, just two blocks to the beach and a quick 5 minute walk to Tacofino, coffee and more. We stayed here for 5 days in early August and loved it. Plus, the coffee situation is amazing!! We will be back!

In keeping with general Tofino ambiance, external siding is weathered but inside is lovely and updated. Property is well-treed with interesting nooks and seating areas, though some external seating cushion-free and uncomfortable. Location fantastic - easy 3 min stroll to beach and 10 min walk to coffee, groceries, ice cream, tacos, burgers and bikes. Tofino is 5-10 minutes away by car. **Also Check DriveBC to get highway 4 status info - highway delays in our trips were 2-3 hours.*
I found Communication with rental agent to be curt and slow, which is why I ranked that aspect low. As just one example, access instructions didn’t appear on my VRBO app even in day before checkin. So I sent email via VRBO app asking for access instructions 24 hours before check-in and still had not heard back the next day, 10 minutes before check-in! I had to call and agent did text access code immediately. Agent blamed issue on VRBO and then subsequently noted that access info was buried in a confirmation e-mail (outside VRBO app) sent 4 months prior - apparently my fault for not noticing

The Dunes was great for our family. For the price, some amenities like beach chairs and updated deck furnishing would have been good. The location was not as close to the beach as we expected, but was a short walk down the road. The house was clean and comfortable. We loved the hot tub and the deck. We would definitely stay here again.

Great place. Awsome kitchen with espresso machine. Very roomy and great for adults and kids. Close proximity to the beach and quick bike ride to town. We loved our stay.

It was the 4th year we have stayed at this property and loved every minute. The property managers are super responsive, the place is immaculate and you can't beat the location (bonuses are the backyard and hidden loft for young kids!)

Great location and house design. Spacious and quiet. Loved walking to beach. Great deck but furniture needs replacing, Maybe paint the baseboard heaters. Needed instructions to operate TV, no sound. Overall loved our stay.

This was the perfect place for our visit. Minutes to the beach for surfing. Walking distance to Tacofino’s and grocery store. The house was quiet and had plenty of room for everyone. As well, there was a very well stocked kitchen. Would stay there again.

The Dunes was perfectly situated near Tofino’s beaches, town centre and the new bike trail. The home was very well equipped, spacious and comfortable. Viewwest and the host were helpful and attentive.

Good location, can walk to beach. Nice big kitchen. Yard is quite overgrown (but you don't go to Tofino to stay in a backyard!). Would happily stay here again.

I stayed at the Dunes with my husband and 3 kids. We had the most magical holiday on the island!
The accommodations were great - awesome kitchen, fully stocked (especially for adventurous chefs taking advantage of the fresh seafood!!), high-end appliances, lots of space to spread out.
We were thrilled with our experience!

Very modern in styling- we loved the gourmet kitchen and appliances. There are 2 bedrooms with a tv room that has a sofa bed. 2 bathrooms and lots of space. Ceiling fan to keep the upstairs cool. Large deck, a little weathered but brand new grill and hot tub was fantastic. It seems to have been a family home as this is quite the place for kids to grow up in and the imagination to create this space is very unique. Loved it. A very short walk to the beach and a few mins to tacofino and surf/bike rentals. Quiet and safe neighborhood . We couldn’t get the televisions to work properly but was too busy anyways. Wish we could have spent more days here, very relaxing!

This home is beautiful and perfectly showcased in the listing. The backyard is an absolute oasis that the kids loved. The hot tub was beautiful and a well deserved treat after some rainy beach days. Close access to Chesterman beach. The kitchen is beautiful and the bathrooms are big and spacious with big tubs. There is so much storage in all rooms. We also really utilized the kids loft - it’s a really cool feature in the one bedroom!

Great stay
Wonderful location. Situated really nicely close to the beach, and a six minute drive into downtown Tofino. It was a short walk to taco Fino and the stores in that area. Also positioned nicely to access some of the beaches down the coast. The house itself was spacious, very clean and kitchen well stocked. Hot tub also sweet. The house has lots of skylights and windows so Lots of natural light even on cloudy days. This does also extend to one of the bedrooms and I actually had to put a sweater over my eyes to sleep throughout the night as the moon was so bright! So hot tip: bring eye shades haha. Also loved the open concept of the upstairs/downstairs of the house, but beware that sound really carries so bring ear plugs.
