If you would like to look for a peaceful getaway, this place IS perfect. Well thought amenities and kitchen things were wonderful and my teenage kids loved the pods. Our dog loved rum around in a secure back and front yard. It was quiet next to Melbourne University Forestry faculty and the sunsets view were very peaceful in a country side. The bikes in a shed were also very useful, and kids explored some tracks. Perfect relaxing holiday!

As per our previous stay last year the property was immaculate on arrival and well appointed. Sharon is a great host. Sad to say but the fishing at Newlyn was below par.....

The house on the hill is comfortable, clean and well equipped. The house was easy to find, well located in town without being noisy. Loved seeing the kangaroos munching on the grass when going for a walk down the street in the evening!

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at The House on the Hill. A few days away with walking, reading and time spent by the fire in the Pod was exactly what was needed.

Had a great stay at the house on the hill in Creswick. The property was super clean and furnished with lots of nice little touches, and Sharon was very helpful.
Enjoyed the setup of the separate 'pod' with the fireplace which was perfect for the adults to retreat to after the kids went to bed. Highly recommended.

Excellent property in an excellent location
This is our 2nd stay here and has become our favorite holiday house in Victoria. It is the cleanest property we have ever stayed in. Absolutely perfect place for your fury family member to stay with you. Hosts couldn’t make the stay any more easy.

Restful and relaxing
Our second visit to this lovely property did not disappoint. Spent time enjoying the views from the verandah and the Pod, and relaxing in airconditioned comfort when too warm outside. Exploring the lakes and parks in town and the historic towns in the surrounding areas is recommended.

Absolutely Brilliant
This was the cleanest property we have ever stayed in. Even the kids commented on how clean and tidy it was. We all loved the property. It had everything we needed. The views are great and only a short stroll into town. The hub was great. The kids in particular adopted it as their retreat. The grounds were secure for a toy poodle to run around. He loved it as well. We are looking forward to coming back regularly for long weekends. Thankyou for making this property available.

Beautiful house
House on the Hill is exactly how it is described. Really well appointed, super clean and comfortable. The pod is fantastic and such a lovely space to share a meal, drink and admire the view or sunset. We will definitely be back. Thank you.

The cottage was lovely, comfortable beds, beautiful bathroom, great kitchen but the standout was the Pod. What a wonderful and, unexpected, space - views from every window, sunsets, glass of wine by the fire, perfect. The location was great, short distance to the shops. Explore the many walks nearby including the amazing grounds of the School of Forestry just across the road. Or sit on the verandah and watch the birds fly in and out of the trees, and, to our delight, a family of wallabies exploring nearby.
We would happily stay here again.
