Everything was as described in the listing. The neighborhood is transitioning, but we all felt safe and it was close to downtown. It was very easy to Uber everywhere we wanted to go. The house is older and has been updated, but expect creaky floors. The host was wonderful and communication was excellent! I would stay here again.

We had a good stay. Kept very busy and did as much as we could do in 4 days. We cooked on night and struggled just a little with having enough serving bowls, but we made do. The only other thing that could have been better was being aware of the fact that I would hear trains at night. I'm a lite sleeper, not really sure if anyone else heard them. The house did have an ear plug box but none were in the box. The house was as advertised.
We checked out as much as we could, Alamo, Riverwalk, Craft/Farmer's Market, Did hiking at parks, Russian Tea Garden, and the Historic Market Square. Pretty if we had another day we could of filled it with multiple other things. Whatever we did it never seemed like we were more than 15 to 20 minute drive back to the house. Would consider staying there again for a future trip.

This is a great and affordable place to stay! The house had plenty of room for our group of 6 (and could have comfortably hosted more). The kitchen is well stocked and the living room space was great to hangout in. It’s in a safe neighborhood, and a short Lyft ride from the downtown (not walkable due to many road changes and highways). I would recommend staying here, the host was easy to communicate with as well.

Clean, comfortable & accommodating...secure & well- kept. Close to Alamo Brewing company & the AT&T Center. Very close to downtown & the attractions. Owners were very nice.

This place was very close to downtown. One incident happened and I called the owner and he came right over to fix the problem. We enjoyed our stay. 4 ladies and we felt safe there.

My group, of 8 adults, enjoyed the stay at this house. The house was very nice and had plenty of comfortable beds for us. It has warm/cool temperatures whichever you need. We had plenty of privacy parking in the back. There is like a driveway in the back and all 4 of our cars fit on it with no problem. The only things I would suggest the next person taking or the owner adding is a fold out table & chairs since there wasn't enough room for us to sit at a table to eat and it was raining outside so couldn't sit out there. The other things was maybe having more kitchen towels to be able to dry our hands and maybe a few more cookie sheets, middle size pot, etc.

Space as described. No complaints about beds. Water pressure, AC, etc worked well. Neighborhood modest economically, quiet, bit with may properties showing recent improvement. Close to downtown. Simple grill and patio table in the back.

We had a great stay, The house was clean and spacious, we loved the kitchen, really big and stocked well. there is even a bbq pit and utensils to bbq with. all the bedrooms are very big, comfy beds, with extra linens, bathrooms are great as well with plenty of toilet paper and everything you will need, even a hair straightener. we loved that we were able to put our cars inside the gate for more safety. the back patio/deck area is great for hanging out and socializing. We will definitely come back and stay here again.

Overall, great place to stay for a conference. It is a older house. No TP is to be flushed down toilet. Not a big deal for me, but I do not remember reading that in time of booking.

everything was nice. the abandon house next door, was a little scary at first, but it was fine. I would check the fridge, it did not keep things that cold, but other then that, it was great. Great location to the down town area and airport.

Best choice ever! Gorgeous house and perfect location!
The three of us got together for a HS Reunion and Birthday Celebration! The house, although large enough to fit 12 people, was also very cozy.
The backyard deck was great simply sitting outside and visiting. The proximity to downtown was also a huge plus!
Would love to visit again!

Walking distance from Convention Center
Everything was clean and in good condition. The beds were comfortable. There was coffee, condiments, and other unexpected helpful items available. We were able to easily walk to the Henry B Gonzalez Convention Center in less than 20 minutes. It was easy to contact the owner when needed.

We had a great stay! The house was neat and spacious, the beds were comfy, and the showers were extremely clean. It was a great proximity to the river walk (5-10min drive max). Easy access to everything we needed. Would 100% book again!

Wonderful stay
The house was very clean, nicely set up, and even some games provided. The kitchen was beautiful and items were provided for cooking, eating, and drinking. A decent size backyard with a large porch. There was a gated area we were able to park in on the side of the house. It was easy to get to everywhere we needed to while visiting. The owner was quick to respond to any and all communication, great to work with before and during the trip. I would recommend this property.

It was a very nice house and in a great location for downtown and riverwalk. It was clean and felt like home away from home. I'll stay there again. ☺

The house was clean and well organized. You can tell they have worked hard in remodeling the home. Great Price for your stay. We had the bad experience of parking on the street and someone ended up doing a hit and run on our SUV. So, I would recommend opening the fence for the extra parking… just better safe than sorry. Overall it was great.

Perfect getaway
Rented this for a cousins getaway. The location was perfect! Nice patio to hang out in. So close to downtown. We will definitely rent this again on our next trip to SA.

The process was real easy. There were 12 of us and child under 2. Owners sent info and answered right away. We enjoyed staying here and would certainly do it again!

Excellent location, nice place, definitely a must!
Very nice place, location exceptional, space as described, very comfortable beds by the way, and was very clean, also very nice of the owner to provide gated space to park the cars, we have a nice a vacation. Thks a lot Alcala family, definitely if I return I will love to rent it again
