Central location so very easy to get around and remember where you are. Spotless. The manager of the property Grazia couldn’t do enough for us and even tried to help us arrange transport to the airport after our taxi let us down.

The noise outside is horrendous, you won’t sleep, but if you want central location it’s something you’ve got to compromise on but just a warning to those who are light sleepers and sleeping on the sofa/maisonette. The air con being turned on also sets off a ridiculously loud fan above the front door which sounds like a washing machine on full spin except it doesn’t turn off unless you turn the AC off - luckily it was not hot when we went so didn’t need it but if you go in summer and again are sleeping on the sofa bed you will not be able to sleep from this noise. It needs some TLC. Plugs are very difficult to use (not only foreign adaptors but the Italian plugs too are hard work to get in and out of the socket and almost pull the plugs out of the socket). There are no dish towels for drying hands or dishes once using the kitchen sink. The washing machine was broken so we had to use one towel for 5 days as there are no spares in the cupboards. The toilet paper is public toilet paper, thin and crunchy so we bought our own softer paper. Don’t lock the bathroom door because I got trapped in as I locked it and the screw fell out on the other side, luckily I was not alone and my sister put it back in to help me out but it caused quite a panic. The window in the sitting area is difficult to close so don’t bother opening it, it falls out towards you and is held on by a hinge at the top and you have to manipulate the lock to get it to close again. I have stayed in Sorrento before in a much nicer apartment for much less money so felt this was expensive for what you get, the pictures are better than it looks in real life.
