You could hear the waves in the bedroom, this is how close this house is to the ocean 😊
House is renovated and kitchen is fully equipped.
Beach is almost private, as there are not too many folks using the public entry.
Great host - we had an issue with one of the lights and Beth took care of it the following day. Recommended!!!

The house was absolutely perfect for our family in town for a wedding. Excellent floor plan with a downstairs bedroom for my mother who can't do a lot of steps. I loved the view and ability to walk right out to the beach. The house was well stocked and had a great open space for relaxing. The owners are nice and accommodating. We will be sure to return!!

Good - clean, right on the beach, nice neighborhood, all linens, cooking supplies provided. Beds are above average. Nicely decorate. Great of a dog. If you don't enjoy your stay, it's you.
Not as Good - decks not wide enough for lounge chair, it's a duplex so yapping people on adjacent deck can steal your peace and quite.

The homes beauty and views cannot be beat nor can the proximity to anything from groceries to restaurants and more! Easy to navigate the Island.
Views views and a feeling you are on your own private beach rates a 100% happiness. The porches having shade and rockets are sn added bonus!
Some beautiful homes can disappoint that they look good but lack comfort. No worries everything was comfortable and the thoughtfulness to anything a renter could want had been covered too and at the ready. I brought things that were at the home had I needed it, I would have saved packing.
The welcome bottle of wine sets the tone of this home and it’s owners top notch do not hesitate coming here I travel often and I NEVER give 5 stars this is a first.

This house was amazing. In an amazing location, right near town, with the beach in the backyard. The house was extremely well stocked, with everything we needed. This was our first time to EI and we can't wait to go back and stay in this house!

This was our favorite family vacation yet! The place is really beautiful. Everything was well thought out in this adorable duplex. The kitchen was equipped with every single item you'd need, to include a milk frother & meat thermometer, spices, very nice pots & pans. We weren't in need of anything at all. The view was spectacular, with a very easy walk right onto the beach, then a hose rinse off, or the outdoor shower. There were even beach toys & beach chairs. We did have to rent different chairs, as the ones there were a bit flimsy, but perfect for small children. Perfect rocking chairs on the deck to just sit & enjoy the view. I've already inquired about booking again next year. It was a much-needed, perfect getaway!

Great location with easy beach access and great views. The house was the best stocked place - in every category - that we've ever stayed. All the furniture was comfortable, and for a pet friendly place, it was surprisingly very clean. Communication with the owner was great, the welcome wine was a fun touch, and we could see ourselves renting again.

We have stayed at other VRBO's in Emerald Isle and while we enjoyed them they do not compare to Wait N Sea. These hosts provided a unit with everything one could possibly want in a beautiful setting. Just steps from the ocean with a convenient outdoor shower to rinse off the sand - other places may say they have an outdoor one but it typically is a spigot on the walkway and this is the real deal. All of the rooms were filled with comfortable furniture and there were many thoughtful touches - numerous hooks in the bathrooms and bedrooms, baskets in the closets for dirty clothes that were useful when using the laundry room. The kitchen has everything you could possibly need and the supply closet was so very helpful. The hosts recommended Gaffers Restaurant and we had two great meals there. We also ordered crabs from Captain Willis Seafood and highly recommend it for fresh seafood. If you are looking for a fabulous ocean front unit you could not do better then this one!

Outstanding house--easily the best appointed and stocked of any of the many places we have stayed. Excellent and relaxing vacation for everybody. A gas grill would put it totally over the top. Thanks for the great stay!

The property was newly remodeled and in great shape. It was also very well stocked from the kitchen to bathroom to toys for the beach. The owner was very reponsive. The location was great. It had a beautiful view and plenty of beach. A short walk to the sound side took you to a public boat ramp with a long walkway for watching sunsets.

I honestly don’t give many 5 star reviews because there’s usually something that could be better. This place was daggum near perfect though! I do think the location and decks facing the ocean made a big difference but the house itself is great too. My friend did all the cooking and was happy with the items in the kitchen. We had to bring a Keurig but there’s a coffee pot for your use. The only complaint we had was that the faucet on the deck out to the beach doesn’t work so we had to do our best to get the sand off our feet then wash them off in the tub. Kind of a hassle, but really a very minor inconvenience. We definitely talked about staying here again!!

My family spent spring break at this perfect beach-front property! The house was beautiful, but the views and beach access were incredible! Walk out the back porch and you are on sand! The community and neighborhood are peaceful and friendly. Great aquarium for the kids and restaurants nearby too! Highly recommend this gem!

We also loved the open concept living/dining/kitchen area as well as having a bedroom on the main floor. The only negative, if I had to give one, is that the laundry room is outside underneath the house--but it is a full size washer and dryer. Home included a well-stocked kitchen for preparing meals and the bed was very comfortable. We'd love to stay here again on our next trip to Emerald Isle.

Beautiful beach home
We really enjoyed this beautiful property and location was perfect . Host was responsive! Only complaint is the laundry room being below house and outside . Was not convenient for large family with a lot towels to wash. Being outside also has somewhat of a smell . I recommend adding washer dryer upstairs possibly in closet or other location for guest . If it wasn’t for that I would rate 5 stars and property would be perfect !

First family vacation in a few years. Good space for week long stay with 8, and dinner table large enough all. Bicycle ride to shops and food. Beach was not crowded. Beach umbrella, chairs, and kid beach toys were already there for use.

This is a wonderful beach house. The whole place has been remodeled. The kitchen is modern and well-stocked. The views of the ocean are wonderful. I highly recommend this house!

Memorial week vacation
The house was very nice and very well equipped, especially the kitchen. Outstanding views from both decks. We had a fantastic time at your home. The only thing lacking was TV’s in the upstairs bedrooms. We would definitely come back.

Emerald Isle has been one of my favorite places for years. This lovely property is welcoming and makes a great base camp to explore the beach and all the island has to offer. It’s a very short drive to island restaurants and close enough to the causeway that the mainland is convenient as well. It’s was a great stay.

This beach house is very well equipped. The beds were comfortable. Everything was very clean. We loved the location, view, and proximity to the beach. We would definitely stay at this beautiful property again. The bottle of Sauvignon Blanc awaiting us was a very thoughtful touch. Great hosts!

We travelled with two of our teenagers and it was lovely that there was space for everyone (with a bedroom to spare!). We enjoyed the incredible access to the beach and loved having pretty much every convenience of home. As I sent pictures home to friends, they started asking for the listing because they couldn't believe how wonderful it all was! We sunbathed, fished from the shore, walked the beach collecting shells, read books on the porch, all while having super easy access to Morehead City where my brother lives. We would absolutely stay here again and hope we will have that opportunity in the coming years!

Wait n Sea
Emerald Isle has been one of my favorite places for years. This lovely property is welcoming and makes a great base camp to explore the beach and all the island has to offer.
