Great place! More than enough room for our group… breathtaking views and perfect location…

We loved this property. Location was great. Close to everything we needed. View was awesome. Communication was fine. Only downside was the middle shower upstairs dripped and had no water pressure. This made things tricky as we all needed to get ready at similar times and had to share other bathrooms. And sound system was never able to be figured out or used. We used a very small speaker that someone had brought. But lay out and functionality were great. We had a wonderful weekend. Thank you!

Often times the pictures do not match the property. However this is not the case on this home. The home was beautiful the views were priceless. We loved our stay and the property manager was excellent to work with.

The views were incredible and the home large and mostly comfortable. But the water pressure was incredibly low in almost all areas in the home and the pool did not function properly for much of the stay (water heater was not working and chlorine/PH levels did not allow for swimming).

As soon as we pulled up we were blown away by the beautiful expansive view of the lake, and the impressive home which was perfectly set on the lot to enjoy the view. The pool and outdoor spaces were great for entertaining, relaxing, playing games and just having a great time. The inside of the home is beautiful, and was set up perfectly for all 3 generations of our family. We chose the downstairs for the teens, which worked out great. The main floor was perfect for the adults and the top floor was quiet enough for the baby to nap and sleep. The owners have supplied most everything you’ll need, and if you have any requests or needs the property manager is quick to respond..we needed a high chair for our 18 mos old granddaughter and the property manager Kristyne personally delivered her own extra the very next day.
The surrounding area, Gilford and Laconia, had plenty to do for the kids, though most of the time we enjoyed the house, the pool and the outdoor spaces.
I wouldn’t hesitate to rent this beautiful property again!

We ventured up to NH for a winter holiday - we got there in the dark and the road was extremely icy and not well lit at all. I would have expected someone to mention that during booking. The house is absolutely gorgeous and I found myself looking for summer availability almost as soon as I got there. However - I recommend you bring your own sheets, pillows and comforters. The cheapest polyester bed linens covered each bed. They were not only uncomfortable- they were rather out of place such a grand and expensive home. And there are still water issues (heat and pressure). I asked about the issues (as a previous renter mentioned them) and I was told they had been taken care of. They haven’t. Someone came out to the house after multiple cold showers and washing the dishes with cold water. They also cleaned out all shower heads to help with pressure. It was great that they came right out A however - I inquired about it before I booked. Was told it was fixed. I would have thought they’d have done the maintenance before we got there. The hot water issue was strange. The showers were cold but the tubs in the same bathrooms were warm. Gorgeous property - some unfortunate shortcuts.

In late October our family of 10 overcame our geographic spread (NH to Virginia to Western Canada) to gather at The Hideway to celebrate my husband’s 80th birthday. Our five-day stay was a huge success. We had plenty of room to all gather in one place or divide ourselves into smaller groups. The kitchen accommodated gourmet menus and we enjoyed meals with all of us seated at the same table. The weather was brisk but sunny. Whether outdoors or inside, the view of Lake Winnipesaukee delighted us with the constant presence of spectacular views. We had a great time.

A group of friends go away every Columbus Day weekend and this year we picked The Hideaway. It was everything the listing said and more. The photos do not do it justice. The home is incredible and the views were breathtaking. We loved our weekend and had a great time. We will be back for sure!

This house was the perfect spot tucked away in the hills! Great views of Winnipesaukee from the decks, bedrooms and pool. Our group fit comfortably, plenty of rooms and extra sleeping spots. The house was clean and had plenty of linens. Property manager was quick to answer. We stayed late September so was a little chilly to be outside in the pool, but hot tub was great to have as well as propane heaters. Water pressure in shower was only thing that comes to mind of needing improvement, but had plenty of hot water. Excited to come back!

I can’t say enough about this property. When we first arrived, it took us quite a bit to just take everything in. The pictures on the site are accurate, but do not do a justice. This house is beautiful and the view is spectacular. We kept taking the same pictures over and over because we could not believe the view.
The house was perfectly clean. We spilled a drink the first day, and quickly grabbed a paper towel to pick it up. Not a spec of dirt was on the floor. The fans were not dusty, the sheets were all professionally cleaned. We did not feel the need to wipe off common surfaces as we had in other rentals.
The host left extras around such as a stocked s’more station, extra floats for the pool, and all the kitchen appliances you could need. She was very responsive when we couldn’t not find the log in email - and texted me back within 10 minutes of me messaging her - truly the best host we have encountered so far.
You will not regret renting this home, we will most definitely return soon!!

The home was beautiful, just as the pictures displayed. There was plenty of room for the 10 of us (three family units) to spread out. And the check In and check out process were well communicated and clear.

This house is beautiful. The views are amazing. We loved hanging out at the pool, grilling, etc. We were two families vacationing together, which was perfect. One family was upstairs, one family was on the main floor and kids could hang out in the lower level. It could not have been a more perfect vaction!

Our stay at this home was magnificent. The property provides stunning views from every vantage point. The home is well appointed and well managed - it had everything we needed. There is plenty of space in the home for everyone, including a beautiful pool and large outdoor living area. The property manager was responsive and easy to exchange with as we planned our arrival. It was a beautiful setting for our extended family holiday. You can’t miss the amazing sunrise and sunset as well as the starry sky at night! Definitely a 5 star property!

The Best You Could Find!!
The Hideaway is simply wonderful!! We were at a very disappointing rental in 2021, so I began looking for something for the next year while still on that vacation. I saw the Hideaway's listing and fell in love with it immediately. I showed the listing to our multi-generational family and everyone said...."can't wait!" With that much anticipation for a whole year, disappointment could have been great. But our lofty expectations came true. This home is fabulous! If you look at the photos in the listing, that is what you get! A beautifully built and well-appointed home. There is enough space for gathering and as well as private space. The kitchen was well appointed as were other amenities. The outdoor space is simply magnificent. The views must be seen to be believed---spectacular! The outdoor spaces like the firepit, lounging areas, dining areas, and hot tub were great and well used. And then there is this unique and beautiful infinity pool. The materials and design of the pool are masterful. We all loved every moment that we spent there and cannot wait to be back next year. Our planning and anticipation for next year has already begun! Thank you, Mike, and Cailin for your hospitality.

Beautiful relaxing stay
Gorgeous home. Gorgeous property. Loved our time here. Our only complaint is the refrigerator hadn't been cleaned and something had been spilled under parts of glass shelving that we couldn't access to clean. Ended up cleaning it ourselves on arrival and putting piece of cardboard box over the spilled stain. For the price point this was disappointing but not insurmountable. The place and the view were so beautiful we rarely left the property.

$1,000,000 view is probably an understatement. Our adult family (8 adults, 1 child) used every room in the house at one time or another. Great space to be together or to have your privacy. VRBO property managers responded promptly to every question.

We rented this property for a weekend away with friends and were very happy with it. The kitchen is well-stocked, the beds are plentiful and comfortable, and the view is beautiful. With an outdoor fire pit and heating lamp, the outdoor spaces are also very usable in the winter. Thanks!

Luxurious and spacious house for a large group
We rented this property for a weekend away with friends and were very happy with it. The kitchen is well-stocked, the beds are plentiful and comfortable, and the view is beautiful. With an outdoor fire pit and heating lamp, the outdoor spaces are also very usable in the winter. Thanks!

Breathtaking views in a well appointed home
We stayed here for 4 night over Thanksgiving. Make sure you pay attention to the map they send! It clearly shows where the home is as it's a little tucked away. The views are incredible - I could have stared out the huge windows all day long and it was a great thing to wake up to and sit for a moment with some coffee.
The house itself is large, well appointed, and thoughtfully furnished. We were 6 adults and 4 little kids (2-7 years old) and we all had more than enough space to hang out together but also separately. The outside area is cozy, even in the winter, as there is a lamp heater outdoors, so we were still able to make smores! The hot tub is great and I imagine in the summer the pool must be amazing.
One minor thing was that there are tons of tvs yet not all of them seemed to work, though to be honest we didn't spend a lot of time trying. The one in the family room worked perfectly and that was the one that we needed. The property manager mentioned the remotes might have gotten switched around and we didn't try all of them so that's likely - might be helpful to label them going forward, since they are all Roku or Amazon remotes. Otherwise, we had pretty much everything we needed and had a wonderful time!
