The house was nicely located. The hot tub was a nice touch.

Before we arrived we were notified that the cleaner was in a rush because the previous group had violated the house rules. You could tell immediately that the cleaning was a rush job. Dirt on the floor, grease and smudge on light switches, stains on a comforter, pillow cases smelled like Febreeze was sprayed on them vs washed, a dishwasher full of dishes, old eye lashes in vases. For the price, I expected the place to be immaculate. The owner offered to have the cleaner come the next day which was a nice offer but still doesn’t excuse the uncleanliness. The biggest issue with our stay arose from an issue after we left. We left a bag behind by accident. We didn’t notice it until we got home (5 hours later) and we immediately notified Tim of the issue and the exact location of the bag. Our concern for the bag had more to do with the birthday money inside as this trip was a family trip to celebrate a birthday. Tim checked with his cleaners who said they hadn’t seen a bag at all only to change their story after he asked them two more times. How do you not see a big blue bag at the top of the steps?? Tim said the bag would be locked safely in the owners closet until we found a way to retrieve the bag. He assured us that we would get the money back if missing. We notified Tim a few days later that we were going to drive back up and get the bag that weekend. He said the cleaners would be there at that time and give us the bag. When we arrived, no one was there and the bag was placed outside, unprotected from the public. The cleaners had conveniently needed to step away. When we opened the bag, the money and other contents were missing. Tim accused our family of potentially taking the money which is ridiculous and furthermore, family had left the night before which means the money was still in our possession the next morning when we packed it. Tim refused to try to call us on the phone and limited communication to the VRBO app which made things extra difficult, slow and impersonal. I even went as far as spelling out my phone # alphabetically in the app and holding up my phone # to his cameras so he could see my # as VRBO blocks out that info. At this point we decided to make a police report about the incident. Tim had every chance to make this right as the owner (yes he is the owner, not just the property manager) but it’s obvious that his cleaning crew is lying and steals from their customers.

Location was great, home was clean, and the host went above and beyond to make this a memorable for our family. Will definitely stay here again.
