Very good location, quiet street, close to supermarkets and very good public swimming pool.
AC in every room, a real must in the summer heat .
Comfortable beds.
It was not properly clean - sloppy cleaning, there were cobwebs behind the TV, the small balcony was really dirty
Some of the furniture was very run down
The backyard is shared with another house, and that is where the washing machine is.

Beja, particularly the old city. The roman remains are well presented with much relevant information.
The poor condition in which the property was handed over to us. It is many weeks since it has been properly cleaned throughout - the fridge was disgusting with openened wine and mayonnaise in it, and the freezer contained meat from April 2023 (a potential health hazard)
The photos on Booking.com were misleading as many showed the downstairs appartment rather than the upstairs one which we were shown to - even though we booked the downstairs one.
I recommend that Booking.com remove this property from their lists with immediate effect.

We spent 5 wonderful days at Casa do Jardim. The house is renovated in a traditional, tasteful style. Cozy and comfortable bedrooms, fully equipped kitchen, very nice and spacious bathroom. Outside terrace gives you a great chance for wonderful family or friends gathering. Friendly and helpful owner - we forgot one small but valuable thing, he sent it back to the indicated address without any problems (and additional costs). Thank you! Fully recommended!

Location was excellent for our needs with supermarket just next door. The house is located in a quiet residential street with on street parking.

Good location and quiet neighborhood.
20 minutes walking to the Beja castle and 30 minutes walking to the train station.
Luís (the owner) was very friendly and always available for any queries.
Supermarkets are nearby, say 5 minutes walking. The apartment has all the crockery utensils you need for meals.
Overall we had a nice time there and would definitely recommend.

Stunning renovation; warm decoration with a really nice taste; excellent mattresses; very good location; cozy backyard with a lemon tree and plenty of space for a family gathering in the summer. The owner was very thoughtful and attentive. Definitely will be back.
