The views over the mountains were amazing! We loved the layout of the villa with plenty of places both for shade and sun lovers. The pool was gorgeous and deep enough for adults to have a good swim. The peaceful location away from the village suited us. The village was unspoilt and had a lovely traditional feel. The people were welcoming too. I also loved the Freelance Villa app with all the local information to help us get around the area. I had to contact the local rep whilst we were on holiday as the hammock was missing and I received a prompt reply and a new hammock was supplied to villa the next day! Great customer service. A bathroom door on the main bedroom would be nice! Also the air con is very noisy in the master bedroom, too noisy for sleeping. But if we opened the window it was too warm. We felt the animals were un-necessary and with no fresh grass for the rabbits or a mate for the peahen, the birds and animals looked miserable. The indoor jacuzzi had a plug socket just where you stepped out of the pool which seems a bit of a dangerous place to have a socket. Also the water in the jacuzzi was green and not very inviting. We didn't use the Cretan outdoor bbq area, huge space but with mice droppings on the table and all the bbq cooking bits looked very dated.

Location, general cleanliness, not being overlooked, peaceful. Make sure there is no infestation of ants in the kitchen before clients arrive (it took a week to get this sorted). Fix the decking by the pool - there were protruding screws and loose planks. Restore bug screen balcony so aircon does not need to be used so much to cool down inside. Restore normal seats in outside pergola as the new benches are too deep to be comfortable. Ensure all umbrellas are operational by the pool. Personally the indoor pool is better with normal and not salt water.

Great service and communication. Loved the pool and all the space around the property. Stunning views and wonderful location. Well appointed villa and lovely to be secluded and quiet. We had a fantastic stay and would recommend this beautiful villa. We love Crete One of the parasols by pool was slightly broken and rather small. The sun was intense so another large parasol would have been better - 3 parasols needed.

Everything, apart from the two small issues mentioned. The door to the en-suite bathroom is missing. Asking visitors to take their rubbish to the dumpsters in the village at the end of the stay is not very welcome when the hire car is full to the seams with people and luggage.
