Location superb, basically a private estate. Flat was five star luxury, with everything you could want, also fresh flowers, what more can I say.

Amazing location, friendly staff, comfortable and well equipped. Staff went out of there way to be helpful. Free car charging for residential guests. Cant fault it.
Option of a food hamper for breakfast or evening meal would be a good idea. But not an issue as we knew before hand and you need a car to get there. We headed back into the village for breakfast at a local cafe.

Absolutely stunning location.
Historic buildings, yet modern inside, with fully fitted and functional kitchen. We stayed in the courtyard behind the clock tower, in a converted stable building. It was really pretty and so peacefully quiet.
Clean and comfortable, very spacious bedrooms and living area.
Immaculately clean in all areas.
Staircase to upper level, but also a large lift which was very useful for our luggage etc.
Lovely gardens and walks.
Friendly, welcoming staff. Geoff was an absolute pleasure from welcoming us to our apartment, to seeing us off when we were leaving.
Loved our couple of nights in Netherby Hall and will definitely visit again!

Both houses were pretty much perfect. Quality furnishings, comfortable beds. A lovely setting for our needs. Weekday booking meant that our group spread over three houses was almost a family village as we pretty much had the place to ourselves. Easily the best place I have stayed in a long long time and undoubtedly the best self-catering experience ever.
As I was cooking for five and keen to show off my skills as a better-than-average home chef, it was a bit frustrating that the kitchen knives weren't sharp, possibly because of the glass chopping board. There also seemed to be a timer issue for the heating in one of the houses. The staff are, however, lovely and very easy to work with. It might be worth mentioning the knives when booking if you intend to use them....
