Old Bank Rooms

We absolutely loved this accommodation. Right in the heart of the town with lovely views of the river. Luxurious bed and enormous bathroom with Victoriana bath. Such an easy booking in process with key safes all working. Tea/coffee making facilities with small fridge. Freshly cooked breakfast delivered to our door ( restaurant quality). Don't be put off by worn carpet on the stairs. Lots of locals could tell us the history of the building and we got 10% off a food bill in restaurant as we were staying local. One point to consider is not to arrive in Bourton too late as parking is premium and it was quite busy on a lovely sunny Sunday afternoon. Checking out process really easy.

Quite a few steps to the room. No good if you have mobility issues.

I couldn’t fault the room at all

The perfect location

The location was superb! Right in the center! It was cosy for one night.

- It was a bit hard to find the main entrance because it’s located on top of a fish and chips shop so you have to enter as if you’re going to the kitchen. - It was a self service type of check in. No reception. - Our room’s toilet got clogged and we called the emergency number provided. They tried to call a maintenance team but NO ONE was available. The solution the property gave us was to use another bathroom (that wasn’t super clean) on the top floor in a room that was a storage room! We paid for a room with an ensuite so clearly this was far from ideal. We tried to ask for a partial refund due to the inconvenience but we couldn’t reach an aggrieved with the property. They were not very kind and accommodating. Luckily we just stayed one night.
