Photos don’t do this place justice. The owner has an amazing design eye and has carefully modernised the interiors for a comfortable stay whilst preserving the history and beauty of the chateau. It’s like staying in a castle but with the comfort of air conditioning in a sweltering summetr! Everything, from the carpets and art and even the subtle in floor lighting in the showers, shows care and thought. Also, the pool is excellent in the summer heat and we loved having breakfast in the gorgeous dining room.
There is no turn down service but this isn’t a hotel, more an absolutely charming chateau! I would also say it was a little unclear which entrance to come in by but that’s easily fixed.

De gastvrijheid en van alle gemakken voorzien. Maar ook de sfeer, rust en beleving in de boomhut.
Eigenlijk kunnen we niets opnoemen.

Château des Fousseries is absolutely incredible! This has been our favorite place we’ve stayed in France — such a special and beautiful property. The owners are incredibly lovely, kind, and welcoming, which made the experience even more memorable. If you have the chance to stay here, it truly is a hidden gem.
Nothing, everything was absolutely incredible. 5 stars!
