We rented for our annual family vacation and it is always difficult to find space for 25 with things to do for all ages. The Magnolia Overlook was PERFECT for us! The houses ( main, rose, and den) were perfect to accommodate each family/ couple and kiddos. The lake, pool, hot tub, and area for board games/cards/wiffle ball worked out well. We do have elderly parents (80’s) so we could drive them up to pool which was nice. A golf cart would be great as well if you can bring or maybe they can add to property. We did not have the boat during our stay but found plenty to do without. The other amenities provided were awesome! Towels, coolers, commercial ice makers, paper towels, toilet paper, spices, etc were great to have. This was the first property we did not have to go buy new knives and pots and pans to use! Dave and Chris checked on us frequently and were super nice! Our family really enjoyed our time together in a beautiful home. Thank you so much!!!

This property was beyond our expectation. We rented the entire place for our family. It worked out great. The property was beautiful, clean and very well maintained. We met Dave and his right hand man, Chris. What wonderful people. We learned some history of the property which was interesting to hear. They were very gracious and responded very quickly to any questions we had. All in all, one of our favorite vacations! Definitely a 5 star vacation. Thank you so much for the memories!!!!!

The 3 houses included with this property were all beautiful, well stocked with supplies and clean. The owners are AWESOME and were always available to answer our questions throughout the year. The pictures and video were very helpful to watch to help us all prepare for our visit. The new pool and playground were a great addition, as the little ones occupied them with joy. The boats and kayaks were a definite plus for added entertainment. All 24 of us thoroughly enjoyed our stay and thank Dave and Ann to the fullest extent.

Everything about this property was wonderful and pleased the whole family!!! The amenities and cleanliness were perfect! For 40 people to have the same opinion is amazing and we will definitely look to come back again! (Something we have not done in the past) It filled all of our requirements with sleeping, gathering and activities. We are ready to go back again today!!! Dave and Ann were the perfect hosts and were there for any of our needs - Thank you for helping to make our reunion the wonderful event we treasure.

Everything, from checkin to check out, was perfect. Entertainment for ALL ages. The pictures were for the site don’t do justice to the beauty of the home and view. We can’t wait to come again.

We could not be more happy with our fabulous stay at the Magnolia House! The venue was beautiful, and it offered the perfect place for our daughter Maddy to get married. Dave and Ann were fabulous hosts who offered fantastic communication. Destinie made Maddy‘s day go flawlessly, and could not have been more helpful! There are not enough words to describe how amazing this VRBO is. From the very beginning of my inquiry, all questions and concerns were addressed within a timely manor. Everything about my wedding day went off without a hitch! I overheard so many people talking about how beautiful and perfect this place was. The interior decor is updated and modern with the timeless exterior. The views are amazing. There truly is something for everyone to do! It is spacious and the beds were comfortable. The owners and staff truly prepare you very well for your stay. I hope that we can return one day in the future!

We had a large group (50 people) staying at Magnolia House on Weiss Lake to help us celebrate our wedding. Our group ranged in age from 9-85 and we were there for three nights. I cannot stress how absolutely stunning this property and location are. They have EVERYTHING you need for a large or small group. We received great communication from Dave and from Destinee (Wedding Coordinator). Destinee and her team went above and beyond to ensure the wedding went off without a hitch. We are from Texas so they were also able to make vendor recommendations that were wonderful (DJ Shaun from MMP Productions for Karaoke the night before the wedding and he was our DJ and MC for the wedding/reception) (LPT Photography who was so accommodating and managed our very large group). There are not enough stars I could give Magnolia House on Weiss Lake! We are already thinking about another trip here!

This property was the perfect place for our 1st Annual Ladies Retreat. We called it our Rose Retreat (Rose Cottage).. We had plenty of room for the 36 Rose Sisters that were able to attend. The outside deck was perfect for all our meetings and our meals. The homes were clean and inviting. The grounds were well manicured. We didn’t find anything wrong with our fun filled weekend. Thanks for making it possible for us to enjoy this weekend on your beautiful property.

There were plenty of places to sleep and lots of room to relax and visit with each other. We plan to make this our annual gathering place.

This is an AMAZING property. For over a decade, our large family (18 adults, 7 children) has rented homes once/twice yearly for get-togethers but finding a place where we can all be comfortable is difficult. This place had all that we needed and more – I rank it #1 of all the places we’ve stayed at, and that’s a lot! First, the setting is beautiful. The home is classic, clean, and well-maintained. The lake is beautiful, and access is superb – a lot of land on the water (with full-sized, sand volleyball court, firepit/chairs, and boathouse) for our use was perfect. Also, there is ample room for ALL with rooms and beds to spare. We rented the whole compound, accommodating seven married couples and their children as well as other adults and there was ample room for hanging out or privacy if needed. We cook all our meals and make huge dinners – the kitchen is SUPERBLY stocked with quality items. I’m guessing this is because this property hosts dinners/parties/weddings and needs durable silverware, plates, appliances, etc. There are THREE refrigerators in the main house and one in the Rose cottage, so food storage was not an issue. Oftentimes rentals have cheap kitchenware, not here – this is the best we’ve seen (and so well organized). BTW there are TWO dishwashers and an awesome coffee bar. The rooms at the main house are elegant and those in the cottage are upbeat, modern, and first class. The hot tub is superb, the patio area well-lit and festive. AND, the amenities were outstanding – best seen ever. You’ll find the whole house well stocked with every conceivable detail taken care of. Ample towels, toilet paper, paper towels, wi-fi, TVs, soap – whatever. Finally, we were here near Christmas and the house had a beautiful Christmas tree, decorations, and outdoor Christmas lights. From the road at night the house looked spectacular.

It was a great place to get away for the weekend for my family and I. Everyone from the youngest to the oldest (ages 1-70+) enjoyed the property. There was plenty of space and plenty to do. The property had everything we needed and some! Even though it rained every day we were there, we still had an amazing time. Several members of the family plan to come back in the future with other friends and family. Whether you were inside or outside the house the views were breathtakingly beautiful!

I planned my wedding in Leesburg, AL from DC and I was trying to find a place for all our out of town guests to have as a home base between wedding festivities. This property took my breath away from the moment we arrived, and I was getting endless compliments about how cool the property was! Everything is well thought out, and well stocked, making it easy to host a group there. From games, to firewood, and everything in between! It got down into the 20s at night during our stay there, and they had plenty of blankets to keep us all nice and warm! I cannot express how perfect this place was and truly made my wedding weekend perfect. I couldn't imagine staying anywhere else. Dave and Ann texted me when I got there and were very communicative the entire time (before and during). We had about 28 people stay (including kids) and there was plenty of space for all of us. My nieces and nephew loved the playground too! I am already trying to convince everyone to have a reunion trip in the future! (but probably when it is warmer so we can utilize the lake, green space and outdoor seating!)

The Magnolia House has been the perfect venue for the annual women’s retreat for our church. The women absolutely love all of the beautiful spaces and as David and Ann have added to the property it continues to allow us opportunity to grow in number. They are wonderful hosts and always so attentive to us.

My daughter wanted a small wedding that would last all weekend and Magnolia House was the perfect venue. All her friends under one roof. The stunning location, the lake, a hot tub, fire pits and plenty of activities in the surrounding area, made for a weekend we will never forget. Not to mention Destinie and her team who went over and above and worked extremely hard to make the wedding run flawlessly. I don’t know what we would have done without you. We cannot thank you enough!!!

This was our second year to stay here. Everyone comments on the beautiful house, perfect location and accommodations available. We all want to return again next year. Owners are great with communication. We LOVE Magnolia House.

The Magnolia Compound was perfect for our reunion. It had everything we could have wanted from lake toys, beach toys, yard games, to very well stocked kitchen cookware, place settings etc. just right to accommodate large crowds. Our family member who uses a power wheelchair was able to access the Magnolia House and lower area (dock, grassy area, volleyball area) independently. Dave was very effective in resolving one issue that required immediate attention. However, another issue that was not resolved was the poor Wifi signal in the ”Den”. Also Dave should provide oversight for key decision makers in his organization. There is much potential with this venue. There are just a few management issues that need to be worked out.

We rented the Magnolia compound for our Youth Camp and it was a tremendous experience. Dave and Ann have incredible properties for large groups, and they have everything you need to host any type of retreat.

This property was everything we could ask for and more! The owners were a breeze to work with, the property was BEAUTIFUL, and it was exactly what we expected plus some. Our group of college friends (now 20+ years post graduation) and our families get together annually to celebrate our friendships. We are now at the point where we need something that can accommodate 12 families, including 22 adults and 16 children at our largest. For this trip we only had 9 families and a total of 28 people. We all had so much fun. We were able to spread out when we wanted to and then all eat and swim and hang out together at the main house. Everything was beautiful. There is nothing that we found we needed that wasn't there. The kids loved the playground, the adults loved the hot tub, and we all loved the beach area and fire pit! I cannot say enough about Dave and Ann. They checked in when we arrived and when we departed. We rented their pontoon boat for a day and it was so much fun and convenient to have access to it on site. We can't wait to return next year with hopefully the entirety of our group!
