Wow - simply beautiful. Walking into the front part of this condo and seeing that view is breathtaking! Comfy bedroom too. Very serene and in a great area.

We enjoyed our beach vacation despite the rain and cold because we had the view from the perfectly placed chair by the window. Kitchen was well equipped and we used it. Comfortable bed and furniture. We enjoyed exploring the small beach community. Walking distance to great cafes and shops.

Location, location!! We so enjoyed the 180 degree ocean view. The property was clean, as described and stocked with everything we needed for a week stay. Communication with Scott was excellent, he responded quickly to any questions we had

This property is outstanding! The pictures show the great view but it is amazing in person. Big windows, unobstructed view of the beach and ocean which are only steps away. Watch sunsets, storms, surfers, dolphins, pelicans and fishing boats from the deck or living room, it is never boring! The unit is stocked with absolutely everything needed for a comfortable stay and is very clean. Scott is wonderful to work with, answered questions immediately and even got us a rental tv next day when the living room one quit. We have already looked to book here next winter. Mack's Shack is definitely our favorite spot!

We enjoyed our stay very much. The ocean views whether outside on the balcony or inside in the living room were lovely. The rental was comfortable, clean, and well equipped

My wife and I spent an awesome week at the condo. All is as advertised. The view is fantastic. We watched surfers, whales, brown pelicans, dolphins and even a Coast Guard rescue of a floundering sailboat from the living room. The sailboat and occupants were fine. Scott was very easy to communicate with as well. Beach walks, shooting hoop at Fletcher Cove, hiking at Torrey Pines and Annie's Canyon Trail, the Birch Aquarium at Scripps, seals and sea lions at La Jolla Cove, a violin recital at the Conrad Prebys Performing Arts Center, great outdoor dining on the beach with sunsets at Poseidon in Del Mar (ask for Dave)... A fantastic trip, a fantastic rental and a fantastic hose. Thanks Scott, we'll be back. Andrew and Gail

Beautiful view of the ocean and walking distance from most places.

Having stayed in many VRBO’s in this country and Europe, this place easily tops the list. It seems as though there is always something lacking. Not so at Mac’s Shack. The view is spectacular and makes the morning coffee much more enjoyable. The pictures shown in the website are totally accurate and communication with owner couldn’t have been easier. My wife and I can’t recommend a better place than this.

Process of registering was easy. Entering facility first day was well organized.

Great location! Safe, quiet, perfect spot. Easy walk to the beach and to the little shops, restaurants, and breweries nearby. Enjoyed the pool and hot tub as well. Such a beautiful ocean view from the windows- my husband and I loved sitting out on the deck every morning with a cup of coffee and a book, occasionally watching the dolphins swim by. We had a garage spot to park our rental car that was easy to enter and exit. Rental itself was very clean and had everything we needed for our stay (i.e. boogie boards for catching some waves!). Host was superb! Great communication and very helpful when needed. Thank you!

This was a great place to stay for our week long celebration of our 44th anniversary. Photos of this place is accurate. Appointed nicely. Well stocked with just about everything you need including beach towels and chairs. Exceptional views on ocean and beach. Easy beach access. Garage parking close to unit. Great property, will not stay anywhere else!

Nicely decorated condo with gorgeous views of the beach and ocean. We walked on the beach and got our cardio exercise walking back up. Nice pool and spa. No grill to bar b que which was disappointing. Scott, our host, was very good at responding to my texts. Wish they had more information on the laundry facility. I had to ask a lady worker why my washing machine was not working. I needed a laundry card and had to use a credit card to pay for it. I thought $15 to do laundry was high. Master bed needs to be replaced. It is too soft and lumpy which did not help my husbands back issues. All in all a super place to relax and watch the surfers with dining close by.

I have stayed at several properties in Del Mar Shores and this is by far the nicest one I have stayed at! The place had plenty of toiletries, dishes, coffee, soap, towels, and just about anything else you could want. The place was clean and is very well kept. The owner is wonderful to communicate with and was very accommodating! I will definitely stay here again!!

This ocean-front condo was a perfect place to stay for a week-long beach vacation. My husband and I loved the location! The condo was well-stocked with everything we needed. We appreciated having our own parking space in the garage. The owner was easy to communicate with and replied to our inquiries promptly. I would love to stay here again! Highly recommend!

This was our first rental outside of a hotel and was a wonderful experience. Overall location was perfect and the ocean front was amazing. We kayaked in LaJolla, hiked at Torrey Pines, went to a Padres game, body boarded, took a sailboat tour in the San Diego harbor, enjoyed two mornings of dolphin watching from the balcony and living room, walked/run up to 6 miles of beach and enjoyed the local food favorites and farmers market. The space was so clean and nice! We would definitely stay again. Scott was very easy to work with and very responsive!

The condo is exactly as described and shown in photos. Wonderful furnishings, great views and excellent location. One of the best equipped with overall supplies and essentials that we have seen. We plan to stay here again.

If you are looking for a beautiful place to stay, directly on the beach, stop scrolling other VRBO's as this is it! This is my second time booking this unit and it did not disappoint! Location of this unit is the best as the balcony faces the beach so the views are outstanding! My husband and I enjoyed our coffee every morning on the balcony, watching the dolphins swim by and surfers catch waves. Because this unit is at the end of a bluff, it is extremely quite and very private too. We also enjoyed HH sunsets on the balcony as well...... so lovely! This unit is also spotless........ extremely clean, which I also loved as I am picky. The kitchen was fully equipped with coffee maker, nice dishes, cups, silverware, wine glasses.... everything you need to have a relaxing vacation. The king bed was extremely comfortable and we enjoyed the sounds of the ocean waves all night as we left the screen open so we could hear the waves from the bedroom. There is also a beautiful cross breeze if you leave the bedroom patio windows open...... There are nice white shutters so you still have privacy. This unit has everything you need for a visit to the beach too. Beach towels, beach chairs, umbrellas, boogie boards, small ice chest...... again, everything you need for a nice day at the beach. Having your own parking space is also a plus as you never have to park on the street and if you use your car, you always have a parking spot, whatever time you return. We also enjoyed the jacuzzi in the evening hours and the pool was refreshing too. Mack's Shack is a hidden gem and I will continue to rent this unit every year..... Lastly Scott was wonderful. He texted me all the information I needed before we arrived. His attention to detail in his unit shows. Thank you Scott....... I will be back next year for sure! Lorraine P.

We suggest that the bedspread /blanket (old-appearing) and sectional couch (squishy) be replaced. Also, the refrigerator water filter needs to be replaced (red light on). Condo was certainly well stocked. Great view. Thank you.

This condo is in a perfect location for watching the sun set over the Pacific. The unit is quiet and clean. However, the bed and the couch are a little "tired," and the unit would benefit from a few written instructions on how to access Netflix, etc. However, over all it is a nice place to stay.
