Location and the room was really big. The bed was extremely comfortable!!

The location was great! We loved being in such an old historic building and loved the front deck with a beautiful view and swinging chair. Nice to have a kitchen and the coffee machine was great! The main bed was comfortable.
It smelled very old although that can't be helped I suppose. When we opened the sofa bed it was quite dirty (probably hadn't been opened for a long time so dirt filtered down) but we got replacement sheets and made the bed up ourselves. The sofa bed was very uncomfortable. Minor issue was only 2 old looking herbal teas, no black tea options.

The location is amazing--right on the waterfront in historic Port Townsend. The building itself is a gem. The welcome was gracious and accommodating (we arrived after hours, and the host agreed to meet us for check-in). Parking was easy and free. The charm of the building compensates for the lack of upkeep in some aspects.
The hotel needs updating; some aspects were not well maintained: there was peeling paint in the room, the acoustic tile ceiling (obviously a recent addition to the historic building) sagged and was irregular. The electrical outlets were a real mystery: a power strip worked only when an overhead light was turned on; a multi-outlet adapter under the nightstand had only a few plugs that worked, and the remaining wall outlet was so old that it would not grip the plugs of my phone charger.
