The decent expanse of grass in the garden was great for the dog to run around. The small sun room was a perfect place to sit in and admire the magnificent hills. even when it rains. The cottage was well equipped, the shower room was fantastic. The cottage is in a great, quiet location, within easy reach of the main town of Keswick nearby. A scenic railway walk takes you from the edge of the village of Threlkeld right into Keswick. The walk takes around 1.5 hours. (one way) and there is a great bus service back from Keswick to the village, which stops outside a lovely pub call ed The Horse and Farrier.

The low door thresholds caused several accidents for one guest who is 6ft. The stairs were very steep, so unsuitable for those with limited mobility. It wasn't clear in the booking that pets were not allowed upstairs, so, with a seperation anxiety dog, one of us had to sleep downstairs.

The location was great and it was very comfortable.

The property should have a smart TV.

Cottage was in a great place, very quiet and plenty of parking in the drive for one car. 2 cars would be tight squeeze depending on size of cars. Beds we comfy. Kitchen facilities had all we needed although working out how to use the hob took a little patience but I was being impatient so that could be more me than the cooker. View out the back was great too. Wifi very good and reliable. And mobile phone signal good too

Steps on the stairs are a little narrow but nothing the owners can do about that. Caution is definitely advised when coming down the stairs although this is something I have found with a few cottages so not an issue solely with this property.

Great village location with handy public transport links. The cottage was clean with plenty of space for our stay. Very comfortable- we felt at home immediately. Nice garden at the back of the property with fantastic views. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to book again in the near future.
