The roads to the cabin were challenging, but once we arrived we couldn’t have been more pleased. Host was incredible with answering any questions we had during our stay.

The house was great, everything we had read about. The host left us two bottles of wine, which were quite good and very much appreciated! The cove is very quiet and lovely to swim in. The kitchen is quite large and open, so it was easy to keep in the conversation loop when it was your turn to cook dinner. It was also well-stocked with cooking items and serving dishes. Attractions: We rented a pontoon boat and took it out to see the sites, go inner-tubing, and just float and talk next to it somewhere quiet on the lake. The kids liked climbing up and jumping off of the Jumping Rock just outside of our cove. Huge ice cream servings at Shanghai Marina. Great hamburgers at Flat Hollow Marina. Lovely scenery and very nice wines at Chapman Hill Winery. (We drove there.) The last time we swam in our cove we discovered “Fairy Falls” across from our lake house. Someone put a lot of thought and effort into that tiny falls scenic spot! A lovely vacation time and we would do it again.

We had a wonderful week long trip. We brought along our JetSki‘s and rented a pontoon boat which was delivered to the dock. The house had wonderful access to the lake and a beautiful spot to swim or paddleboard. Marina’s are close by to gas up or eat which is also very convenient. Our extended family had a house a few doors down so we had bonfires down there a couple nights and did not have an opportunity to use the one at our home, but it is looked to be a very nice, new set up. We really appreciated being able to bring our dogs along for this trip. The owners were super easy to work with & the house had everything we needed to cook family meals and enjoy the whole space! We enjoyed the screened in porches for morning coffee (keurig & regular coffee makers provided) and also to enjoy the magnificence of the thunder in the mountains during a couple of rain storms. The pictures really do not do it justice especially in the summer months when it is very green & beautiful outside. Our whole family really enjoyed this home and our trip. There are just two things I would advise. 1.Bring your own bath towels. None are provided. Luckily, we brought beach towels as it is customary for most homes we stay in so we made due for the week. 2. Although the walk down to the dock is smooth, it is VERY steep without handrails, and may be difficult for some travelers. On a positive, the front door is easily accessible from the driveway & makes unloading great!!

We had a great time with our friends and children! The owner Kirby was very responsive to our questions, the property was well kept and right on the lake. Perfect for boating, swimming and quiet nights on the patio. The kids in our group ranged from age 4-9, they enjoyed the movie room, spacious layout and ping pong tables downstairs! Definitely recommend!

Great home, great dock, and great fishing. The cove was quiet and an awesome place to swim and kayak.

Love the location and the cabin. Communication was great. Only cons were the parking and the not being able to stream, which we knew before hand. Otherwise, we had a wonderful family vacation. We had our own bathrooms and a place to lay our toddler. The kitchen was fully stocked. Great place and would recommend!

Great communication and directions when arriving and recommendations around the property. Overall fun place to stay for a remote getaway! Would recommend!

Perfect place for a getaway. House is spacious and beautiful. Easy walk down to the lake in a nice quiet cove.
