This home is absolutely beautiful, even better than the pictures! Home had been recently remodeled. The decor is fresh and cozy. No expense was spared. Bedding was luxurious. House was very well supplied with everything we needed from beach chairs to zip lock bags. Our group of nine adults had plenty of space for sleeping or just lounging around watching TV. The large farm house table fit our group comfortably plus there was another big table on the afternoon-shaded back deck. The 1 block walk to the beach was very convenient! We will definitely rent this wonderful home again!

After family vacations to FL and SC we decided to try South Haven MI. We absolutely loved it! Our house was perfect and a great location, just 1 block from the beach. We were able to walk everywhere and really enjoyed the cooler temps and beautiful beach! The Oakland house was well equipped and the owner was very responsive to our questions and requests. We will definitely go back!

Loved our stay! Great location. Would have loved to have an outdoor fire pit (wood or gas) regardless had a great time. Would recommend!

We had an amazing stay. It is located so close to everything. Right near the beach and close to the downtown. The place was so clean and had everything you could need. The owners were quick to respond to a question I had and were super friendly. Would definitely like to stay here again!

Perfect in every way!
Great stay that exceeded our expectations in every way! Location was great, short walk to beach that was easily made multiple times each day, close to playground, ice cream snack shop, bundes bakery, and even a back up ice cream shop after the beach one closed was easily walked by our kids ranging from 3-14. (Ice cream is a priority!) Great family beach that wasn’t crowded even during peak week. The house was pristine, like new inside, and was stocked with everything - EVERYTHING! Toys, books, everything you could need for the beach including life vests which we forgot! Cot was clutch for our family sleeping arrangements and easily set up with sheets easily found. Dining table fit all 10 of us! Quiet area in the evenings. Parking was steps from back door. Communications were clear and concise and hosts exceptionally accommodating.
Will definitely be first in the list when looking to go back to South Haven!

Wonderful family vacation!
The Oakland South is beautiful (all new and very well decorated), spacious and comfortable. It is also very clean and welcoming! We made good use of the outdoor areas and loved being so close to North Beach for daytime fun and amazing evening sunsets. The home met the needs of our family - 8 adults and a baby - very well. We will always cherish the memories of our vacation here!

Absolutely LOVED this VRBO. Very kid friendly which was nice as we were traveling with 3 2 years and a 6 year old between 3 families. The walk to the beach was super easy and the view from the front porch is great, can even catch of glimpse of the sunset. Would def stay here again!

Great Stay Close to The Beach
Loved staying at this VRBO on North Beach! We had a wonderful vacation. The proximity to the water was perfect, loved all the details of the house and rooms, and our family had an amazing time. Will definitely come back to stay again!!

Fun Family Getaway!
Our group of 4 adults and 6 kids stayed at the Oakland South for South Haven’s winter festival and had the best weekend! The house is roomy, cozy, clean, and beautiful. We bundled up and walked about 15 minutes into town for the Icebreaker and its events. The location was perfect for getting to the lake or walking into town. We will definitely be back when it’s warm!

Perfect Winter Getaway!
Our stay at the Oakland South couldn’t have been lovelier! Some girlfriends and I took advantage of the 3-day weekend and took the kids to South Haven. The Oakland had space for everyone, a clean & well-stocked kitchen, and lots of games and books for all ages. Even though it was chilly, we took some lovely walks by the lake and past the marina. The downtown is adorable! We went ice skating under the pavilion in town, had a delicious dinner, then hit up the candy store for treats after. We will definitely be returning when it’s warmer! The location is just awesome!

We truly enjoyed our stay at the Oakland South! The recent renovations are absolutely beautiful, the kids enjoyed the bunk bed room, and the main floor bedroom was perfect for the grandparents! The owners were friendly and helpful, and we'd highly recommend this location for any families looking for a great week near the lake!
