A gorgeous house with an even better view! Matt helped me more than I can say and I’d give this house and him more than 5 stars if possible! The house is well equipped with comfy beds and everything you could need in the kitchen. Bonus for being extremely clean as well. Easily one of the best places I’ve stayed!

Family Vacation 2022
We had an amazing week at Lake Gaston at this property. We hung out at the the boat house a lot and swam, floated, and used the kayaks . We enjoyed the ping pong table and pool table on the first level and had many competitions. The large island with seating coupled with the dining table was great for our large family . The living room seating was spacious and comfortable . The house was comfortable and bright and beautifully decorated . We hope to return to this property sooner than later .

Lake house dream
We had a wonderful time at the Johnson Family Lakehouse. The home was very spacious and the property was perfect for our Easter weekend. The host was quick to respond and resolve any questions we had!

Relaxing Lake House Retreat
This house ticked all the boxes for us - clean, spacious and pet-friendly. The house gave our party of 7 people and 2 mini Aussies plenty of room to comfortably settle in. The upstairs porch was a great place to read or enjoy a morning coffee or mimosa with a fantastic view of the lake. The kids pretty much took over the downstairs game room and had fun playing pool and ping pong. The boathouse provided convenient access to the lake. We rented a boat for two days and had no problem securing it to the dock. The beds were comfortable and everyone slept well. It did get chilly at night downstairs, but there were extra blankets and a space heater provided. The host was very prompt with responding to any questions we had. Overall, we had a very relaxing and enjoyable stay!

Great experience
The house and property is beautiful. Our family rented the place for a wedding anniversary event and had a wonderful time. It lent itself well to our gathering. Our host was responsive to any of our needs as well.

Lake house family vacation
We rented this house from Sat-Wed for a family vacation. There were a total of 11 people ranging from 6- 81 years old. The house and property were exactly as advertised. The house was clean, spacious, and well equipped. The lake was beautiful and quiet and the kids spent most of the time swimming and kayaking around the boat house. The property owner was very responsive and answered any questions before and during the rental. We had a great time!

We tied our boat up all week and that made access to the lake very easy. Beds and couches were comfortable and clean. All thing you would ever need in the kitchen were there. Top of the line Weber grill was a nice touch. Also smoked a pork but on the giant smoker out back. That thing could smoke a whole pig! We hit the hottest week this year and the AC kept up great. So much parking that was never and issue. Overall great stay! We will be back.

We had a wonderful stay at Johnson Lakehouse. The house is well appointed and had plenty of space for sleeping and relaxing. The dock is great and offers amazing views of the lake. Matt was easy to communicate with and extremely responsive. We would absolutely stay here again!

Quiet Lakefront Getaway
Our family had a great time enjoying our long weekend at the Johnson Lakehouse. We were blessed with great weather so we spent pretty much all of our time at the lake, fishing and swimming off the private dock. The property is on a wide part of the lake which was very quiet and uncrowded while we were there. Great vacation home!
Beautiful home that has something for everyone. We had 5 children ranging from 2-7 and it was relaxing and entertaining for all! The covered porch was our favorite place to be and the lake had very little activity which we loved. Would definitely recommend staying here.

Stay at the Lake
My family and I enjoyed our very relaxing stay at the lake. The Johnsons were great hosts and the communication was awesome. The house both inside and out looks just like the pictures. Perfect weekend getaway!
My family really enjoyed our stay here and loved that it is dog friendly! The house is beautifully decorated and has great views of the lake. Plus an awesome dock! The house was clean and the beds were very comfortable. The hosts were welcoming and easy to communicate with. Definitely would stay here again when it’s warmer out!

February getaway
We went for a weekend away with friends in February and this was half way between homes. While we had a rainy weekend, the house was great and had built in entertainment with a pool table in the basement. Located on the lake with a boat house and lounge deck, we would definitely come back during a warmer season.

Beautiful Home, Great Stay
We had a great time on Lake Gaston. The house is beautiful with very comfortable beds. Enjoyed s’mores around the fire and sitting out on the dock. The owners were incredibly responsive and very friendly!

Truly a home away from home!
We stayed at the Johnson family lake house over the New Years holiday and had a WONDERFUL time! The house was the best appointed VRBO I have ever stayed in. Everything was clean, the layout was perfect and the owners thought of everything that you might need during your stay (kitchen had every utensil you would ever need)! They even left us a New Year’s Eve gift basket-which I though was very sweet! I can’t rave more about this place (and the owners)! In fact, half way through my stay I was having such a good time that I booked it again in September! Hahaha. Anyways-great people (Mathew and Samantha), great house and great location! A++++

Beautiful home located on a large lake, has all the amenities to stay active. Wonderful small nursery would be ideal for those traveling with young children.
