Ivette’s home was beautiful! She was so welcoming and made us feel right at home. She was also so accommodating and allowed us to check in early! The home was perfect for our bridal party. I would definitely stay here another time!

The property was wonderful! Lovely host... Yvette was very prompt to answer our questions, concerns and requests. A few electrical glitches because they want to maintain the integrity of property but otherwise everything went well. Also, close to our downtown outings a great plus. 15 ladies thoroughly enjoyed ourselves without disturbing the whole neighborhood. Will highly recommend!

My husband and I and three other couples stayed at this beautiful home away from home to attend a concert at Ford Field. This house has a lot of character and is very welcoming and inviting. All of the women especially loved the interior decorating and the special touches that the homeowner has put into this beauty. The men enjoyed the heated patio after the concert while the women relaxed inside in the living room (we love your grey couch Yvette!). Our host was very accommodating and responsive before and during our stay with any questions we had. It is very evident that a lot of love has gone into this home. I would highly recommend the Harper House! You should be very proud Yvette!!

This property has all 5 stars and this is why I chose the home. The pictures are beautiful and are very accurate to what you will find inside. The home is immaculate in cleanliness and in charm. The home itself and each room has a dedication to the home owners family and I read every one and really could feel the love of the home. Once you are inside you truly feel like you stepped into an upscale home. But I would be remiss if I do not mention that the exterior area of the home is not pictured and I should have looked up Highland Park before booking. We are from over 6 hours away and had never been to Detroit before. I wish I would have been better prepared for what the area looked like before I arrived. The alley that we were supposed to park in was overgrown and bordering an abandoned house (though some construction crews were there when we checked out). We chose to park on the street across from the home. This home is definitely a standout on the street, though the home owner says she has a close relationship with the neighbors and it seems to be true. People said hello to us and once we were there for a bit we felt safe. We were there for a concert at Ford and having to go out at midnight to pick up the concertgoers and drive down Woodward Street put us a bit on edge. That being said, we enjoyed the house very much and it served our purposes for the night. We ate at Buddy’s pizza as was recommended in the guest book and we got pastries from Astoria which were amazing! The kids enjoyed the concert so at the end of it all the stay was good. Please make sure that when booking you explore the area and know what you are booking but the home itself is wonderful and the homeowner is very responsive.

The ladies loved the house and the special touches- toiletries, shea butter body creme (made by a local vendor), and bathrobe and slippers - were provided. The house is large and well decorated. The beds were comfortable and the water pressure was great. My only concern was no washer dryer for guest use. I guess I missed that when booking The ladies loved Detroit after their stay and were excited about coming back. Yvette was great. Very responsive and even greeted us before we left for the airport. Highly recommended.

Went down for a Tigera game that was canceled unfortunately 😕 but made the most of our night away at Highland Park. Went out downtown to several places and ubered back. Had a great stay.

A blessed space with tons of character, we couldn’t have had a better time in a structure! The kitchen is well appointed and the enclosed parking area was a major plus, as the neighborhood itself is properly bombed-out, tragically…the filial honor of this blessed offering is palpable, a joy to inhabit…thank you for everything, Yvette, God bless you

Absolutely LOVE the Harper House! This was my second time staying there, and it was amazing as expected. Yvette has made some really nice updates to the home such as the heated deck! I can’t wait to return for the summer! I’m a forever visitor of the Harper House!

I could not be happier with this property and the management. The house is gorgeous, roomy, and wonderfully set up. The only downside is the neighborhood; which seems to have suffered through the rust belt economy issues. However, the house does not suffer from those issues and it very conveniently located to downtown Detroit and Little Cesar's Arena. I would definitely stay at this house again.

Yvette was prompt in answering all of our questions prior to booking. She met us at the house and provided a tour and the story behind Harper House. The had had so much character and charm and we all enjoyed our stay 💕

Everything was smooth from booking to check-out. The space was great for entertaining. We definitely made use of her games. You are close to so many things that the city has to offer. When your only complaint is that you wished the coffee station had creamer, then you know you selected the right VRBO! We would definitely return.

We stayed at the Harper House for my birthday with a bunch of our closest family. We found the home to be very inviting and cozy. The comforters were super soft and warm. I LOVED the claw foot tub and as a chef I truly appreciated the well supplied kitchen for cooking. I also loved the seating area outside with the fireplace. I really liked that there is parking available inside the fenced in back yard too. We attended an event at the Masonic Temple within town and found the location very convenient and easy to find. Definitely would recommend choosing this rental as your home away from home. We also found out they host murder mystery dinners and would love to book again for one.

We loved the location, from the time we opened the door we had a great experience. The entire home is warm and engaging, you can tell the owners added personal touches to enhance your stay. Yes, I would go back, and yes will refer the Harper House to friends and family members. I felt comfortable in every room!

We had such a wonderful time at Yevette’s property! Spent a few hours with a group celebrating a bride to be and then came back to stay the night after a night in royal oak. The VRBO was easy to find and so nice! The set up is super cute and comes with everything you need for a fun party and stay over night! Thank you so much for providing the perfect place to stay!

Yvette was so helpful in assisting me plan the perfect little getaway and engagement party! The backyard is so big and spacious, beautiful, and perfect for an intimate get together! Plenty of space for many to stay- highly highly recommend this spot!

Yvette was extremely helpful when any issues occurred, met us all at the property after accommodating to a time that worked for us since the original check in time we had was during an event we planned. She is very polite, funny, and kind. 10/10 Would stay at this property again!

My friends and I wanted to get together for a girls night, and the Harper House was PERFECT for us! We had a wonderful stay. Ms. Yvette is so friendly and thoughtful. She has done a lot of work on the house and it absolutely shows. I would highly recommend staying at the Harper House!

The Harper is absolutely amazing! I had the opportunity to have a birthday dinner and stay over night this past weekend. Everything was awesome. Yvette was so nice and sweet! She communicated with me up until the day!! She made our stay so comfortable. I would definitely recommend and stay again!! ♥️
