We enjoyed our stay at Garrett Bay.
Unfortunately, we was not able to use the hot tub....

The property is located right on Lake/Bay. It is a beautiful location. The property is tired. The beds were really great for sleeping. The views from inside the house on the lake side were wonderful. It was a dreary time that we were there but it allowed us time to explore the parks and Washington Island. Wickman House was exceptional!

The Chalet is located in wooded area on Garrett's Bay. It was quiet and peaceful. The Chalet is very well maintained, nicely decorated, with all the amenities you'd want in a lakefront cabin. The hot tub was an extra treat. There are a handful of restaurants, I highly recommend Blue Bear for breakfast, and drinking establishments, Cider House was great, the location does require some driving to points of intrest, though nothing is more than 30 minutes away.
I highly recommend The Chalet for anyone looking for a quiet family retreat. I'm hoping to plan another stay next year with my sons family.

My family enjoyed staying in the chalet on our first time in Door County. We could tell this property is well-loved by the owners. The location was peaceful and quiet, while convenient to everything in Door County. We hope to return again someday!

Kicking off the summer in the best way with this vacation! The house is so well stocked and comfortable. The host, Jen was great to work with! Hot tub and kayaks are a major bonus! Fire pit and deck for relaxing were great. Highly recommended and we hope to return again.

This is a cozy home that is in a quiet part of Door County right on the bay. We enjoyed the jacuzzi very much.

The Chalet was an amazing place to stay. The hot tub was great to have after a day in blacksmith class. Had all the amenities you could want and the fire pit near the beach provided amazing views.

This is not a house. It is your home away from home. From arrival to our saddened departure, we were relaxed, rejuvenated and reminded of the wonderful people in this world like these VRBO owners. Thank you! We will be back!

We had a wonderful long weekend at the property - the location is spectacular with not only the beautiful water view but the night sky was unbelievable. If you are a star gazer this is the place for you - or you can take a short drive to the Newport State Park which holds a dark-sky designation. The house itself is cozy and comfortable, we had everything we needed. Though not directly in town, everything we needed, as in grocery store, etc was close enough. We felt like we got to know the area and surrounding towns of Ellison Bay, Sister Bay and Gills Rock quite well and enjoyed restaurants, galleries and a wonderful hike in Newport State Park. And when we had one question about the house the owner responded immediately. We would definitely go back!

Great remote location! The views of the Bay were beautiful when the wind wasn't kicking up.
Unfortunately, our weather didn't cooperate so we didn't get to enjoy outdoor activities except a few walks with the dogs.
But a fantastic country road!
We were able to enjoy some local spots and not too far away, we visited Door County Brewery & Hatch Distillery. Had a wonderful meal at The English Inn.
Thanks again for a comfortable stay in this quiet location.

My sister and I had a wonderful stay here on our fall vacation. The beds were very comfortable, the kitchen had everything we needed, and the view was outstanding. I would definitely stay here on my next trip to Door County.

There was a storm and lost power over night. Host brought us candles, flash light and water. She is very good communicator.
The house can use updated furniture and some repairs/replacement. The sliding door doesn't close all the way.

Great location, quiet, wonderful waterfront, lots of space, loved the hot tub, great to be able to bring our dog. Would have given all 5 stars but some of the carpet/furniture/bedding is well worn.

Our stay was fantastic! Everything you needed was at the house. We ran out of gas when using the grill and within minutes another tank was brought to us! We would definitely come back again!

Ellison Bay Relaxing Waterfront Cottage
We stayed here for a family reunion that we book every year. We booked on a last minute cancellation and glad we did because this place is the ultimate relaxing family getaway. We were able to watch the waves roll in the entire time from inside, as well as go onto the dock to relax and watch the sunsets. We had a 4 year old and a 1.5 year old and they did great. We were absolutely thrilled with the serenity this property provided , a great family getaway spot. Everything was clean and accessible. We loved every minute!!

Serene Getaway
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the chalet! It was exactly what we were hoping for: a quiet, serene place right on the water (that is also dog friendly). The place was very clean on arrival and any questions we had, Jen got back to us very quickly! I would highly recommend booking your stay here. It was far enough away from the main towns to feel private, but everywhere we wanted to visit was within a 30 minute drive or less!

Like they say, Location, location, location! Walk out the door, across the beautiful new deck, across the lawn, down the beautiful white rock beach to a very nice dock on the bay. It doesn't get any better than that. We rented this place because of that. We kayaked/SUP'd at 5am and 8pm with ease (sunrise and sunset). The bay is perfect, quiet (not many boats and in 8 days only say a few jetski's), relaxing and the veiws are million dollar. and loved the fire ring on the beach and dark starry nights.
Jen and Maryann were delightful and answered any questions we had promptly.
The house is old, shows it's age, but was more than comfortable. Had everything we needed.

A magical place!
The house was in an amazing spot and listening to the lake waves every day was magical. Direct view of the water, personal dock and a nice deck outside. House had everything we needed (really way too big for just the two of us). Location is great with very quick access to Ellison Bay, Sister Bay, Gills Rock, the Washington Island Ferry and Newport. We had a great time!

We could not have asked for a more perfect place to stay! Ellison Bay is such a lovely little town - with many places to bike and hike. There are just the right number of shops and restaurants minutes away if you decide to venture out. But the cottage is so charming with its woodland setting and beautiful waterfront that we didn't go too far. The water is crystal clear and would be the perfect place to swim, kayak or paddle board had it been a bit warmer . The inside of the cottage has 2 fireplaces that kept us (and the entire cottage) so toasty warm! The rooms are beautiful , clean and all essentials are provided. The owners are delightful and were eager to make our stay a memorable one. Many thanks to them for such a great vacation!

Right on the water was a plus. Jen is very organized,very well equipped house, no issues with rental date change. Loved watching birds at bird feeder.

Great place to disconnect and totally relax.
Total relaxation achieved at this location. Home was fully equipped with the exception of a dishwasher. It had every size pot, pan and kitchen utensils. Owner has family nearby for any questions.
