Torel Terra Brava

Beautifully appointed hotel in old building right in heart of Angra do Heroísmo. The staff was extremely polite and helpful with everything during out stay — island information, directions, things to see, restaurants, facilities at the hotel. The decor in the lobby, breakfast room and terrace is very well done and inviting, and breakfast was excellent. Room wasn’t that large but super clean and comfortable. The indoor and outdoor pools and steam room were very nice to have, especially after early morning oceans swims (with the dolphins and in the natural pools). Would highly recommend!

Driving and parking in the warren of tiny one-way streets is very challenging especially the first time. Once you’ve checked in, the staff will swiftly valet your car with in and out privileges for €10/day, which is so worth it! So easy once you’ve arrived.

The hotel has a amazing atmosphere, decorated beautifully and it is in the middle of the city, located perfectly. Service was generally good!

When bringing up a issue in the room, the receptionist was not very pleasant, we felt uncomfortable.

Fantastic location and attention to detail. All the staff we’re very friendly and it’s great to see that level of hospitality in the town. They have their own parking 200’ from the hotel if you rent a car. Thank you it made our trip!

Classy, high standard in every detail. Room was comfortable and with all modern amenities. The breakfast area is beautifully decorated. Staff is excellent and customer oriented

My room was in the ground level in an area of the hotel where the windows are almost at the level of the street.
