I hate to give this a three-star rating because much of the stay was better than that (see my rating specifics), but I was looking for a place to stay that had a hot tub and this place did not, even though hot tub was the first item listed on both the “Amenities” and “Popular Amenities” lists in the location’s description. I reached out to the owner, and the owner told me that a hot tub wasn’t advertised for this property. I sent screen shots of the listing claiming to have a hot tub and had no further response from the owner. That, I think, was the worst part of the whole issue. Maybe an apology/acknowledgement would have been appropriate for the situation. I’m a pretty understanding person, and I can see how a listing could have an error. I would like to add, in all fairness, that in all other communication the owner was very attentive and quick to respond. Maybe the listing has been corrected by now—I do hope that is the case. If not, be aware that this location does not have a hot tub (as of January 2024).
The house was well furnished, the kitchen well equipped. There were plenty of towels, washcloths, etc. We never did find the umbrellas advertised. The bathroom hot water was never hot—warm-ish at best. Kitchen water very hot.
I would like to note that the beach is very quiet and not very busy—this is exactly what my daughter and I were seeking. If you’re looking for peace and serenity, I would recommend this place.

This is a super nice area. It was perfect for our stay. You can only see the ocean from a few windows as it is a side unit. There are chairs and an umbrella available for you to use which is wonderful!

We were so happy we found the Island House. It was right on the beach and just the perfect size for our family of 4. We will definitely recommend and stay here again.

We had an amazing time! And.. there was a special birthday surprise when I arrived- a delicious key lime pie and special birthday wishes in a card. Personalized touch that made my day much more special!

Great small Apartment for the family and convenient just walking distance to the sand and ocean. We will come back. The kitchen has the basic necessary appliances to prepare quick meals like breakfast and snacks. It was perfect!

We enjoyed our stay at Island House. Everything is as described. The beach is lovely…no crowds and it was during spring break.
The only thing we wished we could have had was another shower, but of course we knew that prior to booking.
Within walking distance to some great restaurants and all other amenities are within a 10 minute drive.

This is an excellent property. SUPER clean. Great location. Half mile walk to restaurants, steps from the beach. Very quiet neighborhood. Beach was never overcrowded and very open. Huge parking area. Beach towels, umbrella and chairs provided. Ceiling fans in every room. Extra personal fan, which we liked for white noise. King bed is soft. Bedrooms had plenty of closet space, and dresser space, so you don't have to live out of your suitcase. We had a great stay.

Everything was very nice and clean. We did notice that keeping the a/c at 75 was not ideal. It would get very humid and warm during the day and not comfortable at night for sleeping. Great location and beach was beautiful!

Small building with six (I think) efficiency apartments situated on the sand of a beautiful un-crowded beach. The apartments aren’t fancy but simple and recently renovated. Apartments are spotless and well appointed with everything needed for a pleasant stay. We’ll be back without question.

The only issue that we had was that the water in the bathroom sink didn't drain well. Otherwise we liked it. No frills but it had everything you'd need!

This complex is literally on the beach. Just as photos show! The unit was very clean. If you’re looking for a cozy “home away from home” experience, this is not your place. Very bare and stripped down rooms. Like a motel suite without the accommodations that come with a hotel. Sheets were extremely threadbare and plucked. Pillows felt like a sack of gym socks. Not a single cleaning product provided as a courtesy. Water pressure was non existent making it difficult if you’ve got children. Overall, we enjoyed it though because we spent more time on the beach than in the room. It’s great to open up your door and see the beach and hear the waves which is what we were looking for.

What a dream it was to stay at a clean and neat rental that had kitchen accommodations for our meals. We had breakfast, then walked right onto the beach to comb the beach for shells and shark's teeth, stepped back in for lunch and bathroom duties and headed back out again. It was all that we could hope for in a vacation home. We got to meet the owners of the property and found that they were very friendly and when we reached out with questions online, they were prompt in their answers, which are 2 very important factors when renting. There are restaurants in the area that served delicious food, and a corner store that has vacation trinkets, clothing, and more. I would rate it more than 5 stars, if the option were there. : }

The pictures on VRBO are exactly the way the property looks. Well maintained and clean. Fantastic location and RIGHT next to the water. The property contact, Nina, was quick to reply to any needs we had. Great experience.

Beach was absolutely beautiful! Pictures are same as in person. The air broke in our unit and we were moved to another one shortly after communicating our 1 year old was struggling with the heat. We wish the listing stated that the temperature needed to stay above 75 degrees. With having a one year old, a 77+ degree sleeping environment was extremely uncomfortable for her unfortunately. Thank you for sharing your piece of paradise with us.

My husband and I brought our 3 children ages 10, 6, and 9 months on vacation for one week and couldn’t have asked for a better spot. Very quiet and clean, on a private beach so not over crowded. The host was very responsive to my communications with her and explained things so that check in and check out were very easy and smooth. We would definitely stay again!

Great Location
The property was just as described in the listing. Great location and the beach was steps away. Not much available in the area as far as attractions but we went for the privacy of the beach and was not disappointed. Beach was not crowded at all!!!

This condo was super clean, check in was super easy and we couldn’t get any closer to the ocean unless we were sleeping on the sand! The management company was super easy to deal with. We definitely enjoyed our time and will be back!

Outstanding Gulf front apartment!
This place was ideally situated right on the gulf…couldn’t be more than 100 steps from my door to the sand. We stayed in #6. Apartment was clean, well equipped and comfortable. We will absolutely be back, but will request 1 or 4 because you really can’t see the beach from the other units.
