This house was perfect for our family. We loved that the house was close to both pools. The fenced backyard with fire pit was a fun place to gather in the evening to make s’mores.

We had a great time, house was clean and in great condition. Checking in and out was easy. House was well stocked with dishes etc and in an easy location. We rented a golf cart but we were in walking distance to the pools. I would stay again! We lost water one day but it was the entire town and nothing to do with the house.

The house was just beautiful, and the owners had equipped it with every possible amenity! It was clean, well cared for, and thoughtfully furnished.
We weren't impressed with Carlton Landing in general, but the property was wonderful. For families with children, be aware that the beach area is extremely rocky and poorly manicured. We had a child severely injure a toe on the beach from a rock jutting out.
There were nails all over the neighborhood from construction, making walking a chore. The boardwalk is in horrible shape, with many warped boards that are tripping hazards.
There are only two small pools, and far too many visitors for them. At the beach, the rental equipment was sparse, and most was unavailable for rental bc of needed repairs.
Fortunately, we took our own groceries, bc there is only one pizza place, and a trailer for snow-cones. The coffee shop is cute, but on Saturday morning, the espresso machine was broken, and they were unavailable to serve anything but drip coffee.
The bright spot was the Market Pantry, which was very well stocked with groceries and toiletries (albeit very expensive).
In general, Carlton Landing simply isn't well equipped for the influx of visitors. The infrastructure just isn't there, and the marketing is deceptive.
The overall look of the community is charming, but beyond the houses, there is little draw for a real vacation get away.

Home is beautiful and met all of our needs. Kitchen is well stocked with everything we needed. The location is great to pools, parks, outdoor activities etc. My only complaint is that the picture shows a vacant lot next door which is one of the reasons we chose this property. Having never been to CL, I thought that was a green space based on the picture. Instead, there are 2 houses being constructed on that lot. Construction began each morning at 7 a.m. which was not ideal for a restful vacation.

We were traveling with my parents, my Mother-in-law, my two children, my husband and myself. The Better Together house was fantastic! There was plenty of room for everyone, and it was very clean. We had a great time roasting marshmallows in the fire pit, and playing games at the big family table. We really enjoyed this home, and will definitely stay in that house again!!

This was our first visit to Carleton Landing and it will not be our last. From the property, amenities, location to the community-this trip exceeded our expectations. If you are looking for an updated, beautifully furnished rental in Carleton Landing. If i had to list a downside, it is only that the home is a longer walk to the pools and lake than others, but you can easily hop in a golf cart or bike. The street is friendly, and plenty of kiddos for my little ones to play with. There is a playground nearby (behind)-walking distance. We had some issues with our booking, but hospitality was very kind and helped us sort things out quickly. I can not wait to return!!!

The home was a perfect floor plan for us and our two children and grandchildren. Our recommendation would be to add an armoire to the master bedroom to hang clothes since the closet in that room is locked and provide a little more fire wood since the fire pit is featured in the pictures

A short walk gets you to the pools, the Meeting House, beach area and any other spots that will add to your experience. The layout of the home is perfect for congregating for relaxing, eating, and playing games. Decor throughout is so inviting! We enjoyed the fire pit out back and each of us, at some point, just enjoyed relaxing on the front porch giant swing/bed. This is a place you will wish to revisit!

A very nice property-our only complaint was that the kitchen was poorly stocked with cooking equipment, particularly pots and pans. Otherwise a very nice place. I realize that not everybody cooks when they're on vacation, but we like to. I would recommend this place.

A very nice stay in the Oklahoma Home. Very nice home! It rain all weekend, but we still had fun walking through the town and taking advantage of what we could.
I have three suggestions for the home:
1) replace the lights in the bunk bed room near the beds -- the light bulbs were missing and the lighs were so easy to nudge or hit while sleeping
2) replace the bbq. It could hardly heat to 300 degrees and then, could not maintain that temperature. It was difficult to bbq meals for ten people -- in terms of cooking hamburgers and chicken
3) consider placing concrete in the parking and walking spaces--the dirt and gravel was not pleasant in the raining weather
We will recommend Carlton Landing to our family and friends. These items mentioned hopefully will be taken care of in the near future.
