Les Cèdres du Linard, Chambres d'Hôtes B&B Near Lascaux, Montignac, Sarlat-la-Canéda, Dordogne

This is a most wonderful place to stay set in 50 acres of rustic escapism among the hills and folds of the Dordogne. Paul and Em are brilliant, kind hosts, the rooms and surroundings are five-star luxury and the outside sitting areas echo calm, where you can relax on sofa, sunbed or hammock, sip a glass of something and watch the sun set. There are also tables and chairs if you bring your own food back. A full continental breakfast, with Remy the dog an uninterested presence in the vast sitting room, sets you up perfectly for the day. There’s a clue to its remoteness in the length of the address and the word ‘near’, but so many stunning places are just a short drive away. And you will not find a better base for touring the region

It’s a beautiful property. Conveniently located for exploring the caves, castles, and everything in Dordogne. Serene. Only sounds of nature around you. Super clean, welcoming owners, tasty breakfast. Thank you so much for having us. And thank you for early breakfast upon our departure.

Nothing

The hosts M and Paul were responsive to questions via booking.com and very welcoming at check in, even offering to help us make a dinner reservation at a nearby restaurant. The property itself is kept spotlessly clean, and has been wonderfully renovated and tastefully decorated by the owners, making the place feel homely yet luxurious. The very large bed was comfortable, with views from the bedroom & bathroom out onto green space to help you relax. Breakfast can be enjoyed inside or out on the peaceful terrace, with pastries provided and the made to order omelette being the star of the show! The hosts were truly excellent and struck the right balance with being there to assist if you had questions but not making guests feel claustrophobic. I will remeber this property and its owners very fondly and hope to revisit.

There was nothing not to like about this property, it is run to an exceptional standard and I would gladly stay here again and recommend others to do so.

La struttura é stupenda e la camera in realtà é un vero appartamento. Colazione con ottimi prodotti.

Troppo isolata, é l’unica struttura di un lungo viaggio in Francia dove non ci è stata rifatta la stanza e non ci è nemmeno stato chiesto. La colazione è ottima ma avremmo preferito un po’ più di libertà nel servizio (completamente servita anche solo per un refill di succo)
