Ria Park Hotel & Spa

Location great and only a 10 minute walk to beach and restaurants

Pool area was shaded, pretty with the trees but if you like the sun it’s a bit limited finding a lounger . We went first week of October and sadly the hotels beach area had no beds. Apparently their licence only runs until end of September so had to pay 30 euros further along. Would have thought a 5 star hotel could sort that out with the authorities.

Had such a wonderful time here. Clean, great rooms, breakfast was top class, nice staff, lovely guy transferred us to the beach, pool area is fantastic with the most beautiful trees, very exotic setting. Inside pool was a plus as outdoors pool was a little chilly for us (albeit not too bad). Would 100% return.

Small thing, but it felt like some soft music at dinner time would have been nice. The place needed a bit more ambience.

The reception staff and pool bar staff were excellent. Super friendly. The shared areas are spacious and really clean. We had 70 friends with us most of them visiting this hotel for the first time and they all loved it. The housekeeping staff on Floor 5 were wonderful.

We used the Ria Park as our base for our wedding on September 27th. The initial contact with the reservations staff was slow with lots of our guests saying that nobody was getting back to them. It took days for 'Reservations' to reply. We had 94 guests and a lot of them booked at the Magnolia whose response was immediate. We had a 4 day wedding with most guests wanting to have a nightcap at the end of the nightly. Disappointingly, the bar closed earlier than the advertised time. I would like to think that all our guests were respectful to your staff, but I would say that there was frustration from several guests who saw the lights turn off behind the bar as they entered the hotel.

Mr,. Ze (Joze) who dropped us off at the beach - the shining start of this hotel. The nicest, kindest person! Good breakfast, nice and warm pool. We received a bottle of champagne and cake for our anniversary.

Where do I even start. The hotel is supposed to be a 5 star, right? Ants in the bathroom. It is NOT beachfront! It has a beach area, to which you take a shuttle (or take a 10 min walk) just to find out that 2 sunchairs are 25 EURO A DAY. additional sunchair is 15 euro a day. There is no bar and no bathroom at the beach. At night the hotel is dead, no entertainment apart from loud guests behaving like monkeys at night. There is no store or restaurant in the near vicinity. The Lusitani restaurant (the only one at the hotel) is CRAZY expensive - no way you can eat there with kids. Kids club? Not even at the premises of the hotel and I was not comfortable leaving my child out of my sight completely. Cleaning very inconsistent: the cake they gave us for our anniversary wss in the room for 4 days straight. Surely, if we didn't eat it on day one we wont eat it on day 3. Honestly, this is more like a 3 star hotel to me. Very disappointed.
