Though away from the beach, this is a great central location to Nags Head, Kill Devil Hills, Kitty Hawk, and Duck. This is a cute, clean home to just getaway and relax. The beach is only a few miles away and we went several times with the passes provided in the home.

The house was incredibly clean, and the neighborhood was great! Close to everything you would ever want to do. The parking passes were a great addition and made beach going so much easier.
The owners were so responsive and providing excellent recommendations.

This home was in immaculate condition, and our family of four had plenty of space. The beach parking passes and outdoor shower were very helpful for days at the beautiful Outer Banks beaches. Neighborhood was quiet and only a couple of minutes drive to the beach and conveniently close to grocery stores. Highly recommended this home!

Wonderful property!
We loved our stay at this property. The cottage was clean, updated with everything you would need, and so relaxing! The owners were responsive and so helpful with giving us recommendations on our first stay to the area. The neighborhood was wonderful and quiet. The beach passes were appreciated and we never had an issue with parking. We appreciated all the amenities that helped our trip feel like a home away from home. Would definitely recommend and would stay here again in a heartbeat!

It is a bit far from the beach - depending on your group and abilities to bike - but it is definitely manageable. It all depends on what you are looking for. If you have ever been to the OBX, lots of places are not right on the beach, but some are closer than others. This property is perfect for a restful and quiet vacation.

Our family of five really enjoyed staying at the Sandpiper Cottage, a clean, bright, beautifully furnished, newly renovated house, located in a quiet neighborhood near the Duck Woods Country Club. The house is in a convenient location, with a very short drive to the Southern Shores town beach and two grocery stores and Walmart. We appreciated having the two parking passes for the beach (parking was never an issue at any time of the day) and enjoyed spending time on the screened-in porch. Heather was super responsive to all my questions. We highly recommend staying at the Sandpiper Cottage!

Lovely property. Suggestions: bar stool at peninsula nearest fireplace is super wobbly, front porch electrical outlet is not working………master bathroom toilet seat loose and stained underneath..replace, flush handle loose, same with shower handle. Water was spraying in three directions from shower head in master bathroom, including hitting the ceiling….my husband repaired it.. was not put together correctly. Given the height step in for jacuzzi tub, we purchased a nonskid mat for inside tub, a suction grab bar and a nonskid floor mat….we took these items with us but suggest you add them for guests.
Overall our stay was wonderful but I mention these things so you will be aware.

Restful stay at Sandpiper Cottage
Sandpiper is a lovely home located in a quiet residential neighborhood. The bedrooms and common areas are a great size and have comfortable and inviting furnishings. My husband and I loved the bed in the master. Slept like a baby.
We enjoyed sitting on the large screened in back porch and even had a meal there. Because of its great location, the home was a great base for us to return to each evening after seeing all the sights in the area. Drew and Heather were quick to respond to questions about the property and even gave us some great suggestions for dining out. We highly recommend this property.

Nice Vibe = Relaxing Setting
The cottage has a pleasant beach vibe that's very relaxing, and which makes it an ideal place to unwind and refresh. Very well maintained, and the entire reservation/check-in process was simple and streamlined--the owners were very helpful and responsive. The neighborhood was quiet, though the adjacent area was a bit busier than expected--but that provided some additional convenience for supplies, take-out, etc. And it only took a few minutes to get to the more peaceful setting of the beach.
