Loved the coziness of the cabin. It was very clean and relaxing!

The house was perfect for a birthday getaway. The house was super clean with all the modern amenities. Tastefully decorated for the Christmas season with Christmas lights outside and a nice Christmas tree inside. The sound of the creek was nice and serene. Maggie Valley and Waynesville offer the best of the western Carolina mountains. We were able to witness a winter parade in Waynesville on our last day that made this vacation perfect. We are already planning on coming next year and we will definitely stay at Little Bear again.

We love the rustic decor, the layout and all of the special touches, such as towel warmer, heated bathroom fan, multiple ways to make coffee, air fryer, crock pot, and FOUR reclining seats. The layout was perfect for my husband, two boys, and mother-in-law. The game room was nice although we didn’t use it much. The split firewood is also so considerate although we didn’t get to use the fire pit eiather because we forgot matches/lighter.
This place would have five stars if it weren’t for a couple of mishaps…the pilot light was out on the gas logs. A ticket was submitted and someone did call to help us, but we were still unable to get it to light so we couldn’t use the fireplace. We had trouble with two bedroom TVs staying connected to internet but my husband was able to figure that out. The dishwasher seems to have some sort of error and was unusable.
All in all, we would definitely consider Little Bear again and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay! One more tip: do the late check out if it’s offered…very affordable!

This is our second time staying here and we love it even more. Perfect for families, great outdoor space, wonderful views. Super clean with every amenity that we could possibly need. The kids love the game room. We would not stay anywhere else in Maggie Valley.

We loved every part of Little Bear. The large entry porch, running the length of the house, looks over a ravine full of rhododendrons, magnolias and other natives, creating a private screen. The backyard has a fire pit, plenty of seating, and a picnic table for outdoor dining and family fun. The main room has cathedral ceilings, an open floor plan for living room, dining room and kitchen. The comfortable furniture is full of recliners so kick back and relax. The well appointed kitchen contained both Keurig and drip coffee makers so pick your favorite. There are plenty of pots, bowls, cutting boards and knives, all of which are often in short supply at other rentals. All the rooms are generous in size and well appointed. Very comfortable bed. The home was immaculate. We appreciated the location in Maggie Valley and were able to see elk in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, one of our vacation dreams. Although there were only two of us, Little Bear would comfortably fit a family of 6. We appreciated this beautiful home.

We loved our stay at Little Bear. The back porch and the fire ring are great amenities. The house is well appointed and well equipped. Lots of games, fantastic new refrigerator, and even EV plug ins. I highly recommend this rental.

We loved our stay at Little Bear. The perfect size for our family of five, we felt like we were alone in the woods on the mountain, even though there were neighbors close. The accommodations were wonderful - just bring an iron if you’re attending a wedding! 😂 Wish we could’ve stayed longer.

Beautiful home and peaceful location with the creek next door lulling us to sleep. Unfortunately, the lights stopped working in one of the bathrooms and was not addressed during our stay. Would have liked a discount for that inconvenience but since the host was a third-party company, no sympathy was given and communication was sterile and impersonal. The linens weren't gross or anything but they are overdue for updating. Otherwise, the home was clean and quiet at night (neighbor nearby was blasting music during the day). The bear theme was cute and the home was spacious and comfortable for a family to stay in.

This cabin has every thing you need and want and more. We loved the game room and the scenery is to die for. very quiet location perfect for coffee and watching the sun come up. Surrounded by mountains. All the little details in the cabin make it feel like home. Only thing I have negative to say is the master bed is very firm other than that we loved our stay and plan to come back again.

My family and I loved the Little Bear cabin! The location was very convenient and allowed us to take day trips to Asheville and Cherokee as well as enjoying the Maggie Valley/Waynesville area. Cabin is extremely comfortable and well equipped. The stream outside the cabin sounded wonderful and was very relaxing. Loved seeing the family of elk right outside the cabin! Definitely recommend! Loved our stay at Little Bear!

We spent 4 nights, couldn't use the brick hard queen in main bdrm, used the softer queen in spare room, vacasa sent a TV remote to us, as the frtrm, TV wasn't working, enjoyed the creek as we sat on the deck chairs, would love to know where they bought them, enjoyed some pool in the Gameroom/ garage, didn't know Maggie Valley is mostly closed down Sun/Mon, for dining out, if we go back would choose Summer months, as much of the town is still closed down in April/May, about this rental, wouldn't return unless a more suitable mattress is used in master bedroom.

We visited Maggie Valley to ski for my son’s 13th birthday. It being our first time we needed to find a place to accommodate our group of 6. This property provided just that! It was roomy and welcoming. We thought the cabin themed home was the perfect layout which included a game room essential for our boys to keep busy. The kitchen was fully equipped with beautiful upgraded appliances for meal preparations. The only minor flaw that we experienced was a little plumbing blockage in the master shower. I’m sure some drain-o would be a quick fix to that. Other than that, we enjoyed our stay and would certainly recommend/rebook in the future.

We stayed there for one week and had wonderful time. The location is GREAT, private and yet very convenient. The house is very cozy. The kitchen is fully equipped and super functional. The internet is very reliable (we worked remotely a bit). We'd love to return some day. Improvements? 1) a more eye-catching roadside sign would be helpful since you can hardly see the house from road. We missed it the first time driving by in the dark. 2) the house is very clear but the carpet in bedrooms looks a bit frowsy.

We liked the property. Labeling the light switches would be very helpful. Driveway was a little scary. Bathrooms are beautiful and function well. View of the leaves and mountains was breath taking. Thanks for sharing with us.

Little Bear rental home was truly wonderful and accommodating. The home was spotless, well stocked, had an easily accessible floor plan and a thoughtful gift basket to enjoy. We had a very nice stay and would highly recommend it.

Little Bear was awesome..exceptionally clean...beds were wonderful. It had everything we needed. Our furbaby loved exploring the yards and seeing the chipmunks..it was perfect and just minutes from down town. We highly recommend

We drove up from FL to meet our boys in college for Easter. We all had a great time playing pool and poker in the game room. Did some fishing in the area and used the well stocked kitchen to cook Easter dinner. Had everything we needed. Highly recommended

We loved everything about this rental. Porch had lots of seating for a quiet cup of coffee, the ripple jof the creek below property was the only sound . The home was decorated very tastefully, everything looked like it was brand new. My grandkids favorite thing inside this home was the refrigerator!!!!! It has a computer touch screen on it and they played Wordle or watched YouTube on it!!! LOL Never did find the switch to the fireplace for ambiance . Game room was great, played games and pool for many hours. Fire pit area was nice and large with Adirondack chairs around them, there was also a picnic table next to area.
It is located in a beautiful area and hopefully we will return someday.

Perfect cabin to be stranded in
We stayed at the Little Bear cabin in January during the winter storm. Our flights got canceled and all street traffic came to a standstill for 3 days. The cabin had all the amenities to keep us entertained. The indoor fireplace, plenty of games / game room, high speed internet with movie channels, and the outdoor fire pit. We arranged to have wood delivered prior to our stay and we are glad we did. Even though we couldn’t drive for 3 days, Soco road( the main road in Maggie Valley) is only a half a mile walk, so we were able to get groceries at the local Dollar General and Gas Station. Great stay. Will definitely book again.
