The house was immaculate and the beds were so comfortable!!

This was a wonderfully restored Miners house. Felt both modern and traditional in places. Access to a nice garden and BBQ was most welcome. Even in a COVID stay, they supplied a lovely welcome pack. If you had kids, having a couple of sitting rooms with TV's & games in them would help for relaxing in. The kitchen is well stocked with a doule oven setup. The dogs was made to feel very welcome with biscuits, blankets, etc.
Not much bad to say, but would suggest a cloths horse for drying cloths in those rainy days & use of the washing machine.

The property had everything we needed for our stay. There were bowls, towels and treats for our dogs. A welcome pack and milk in the fridge was a lovely touch . A very spacious cottage and a lovely garden to sit in . The position of the cottage is good for exploring both east and west counties . We managed The Lake District, Northumberland and Durham in our 4 day visit .
The heaters were preset to a certain temperature before they would work . We found we just needed to take the chill off but they wouldn’t kick in . We lit the open fire and the house filled with smoke . We used the logs provided but still had to keep windows open . Has the chimney been swept? We couldn’t see smoke coming out if the chimney ??
