Provided the perfect location for me to bring family together to visit with my mom. Nice big open space to spend time together and very clean and comfortable accommodations.

We travelled to Nevada County to spend the Christmas holiday with our son, daughter in law, her parents, my wife and daughter. The house had plenty of room, was well appointed with decor, plenty of firewood, bedding, linens, and kitchen needs. The feel of the house was that you were still at home...very comfortable, very clean, great location, and the support from Gary was awesome. We will likely come back next year!

We stayed here for a wedding, and it was comfortable for 7 of us (three couples and a single), plus two small dogs. Pros: The kitchen is well-equipped with plenty of extras, like spices, oil, coffee, etc. There are also thoughtful touches like extra dog dishes, leashes and toys. The large dining table is perfect for a group. Plenty of glassware, dishes, pots, pas, cooking utensils. The living room is large and comfortable. Good parking. Nice area. Cons: The bedroom linens (and bath towels) are worn out and could use refurbishing. The pull out bed in the den has an uncomfortable (and badly stained) mattress topper, and our daughter said the comforter smelled so bad she had to remove it in order to sleep. Also some of the blinds in that room do not completely cover the windows, so we had to hang an extra blanket up to cover them. The hall bathroom was not very clean upon arrival; there was used bar soap left over from a previous guest, the toilet was visibly dirty, and the baseboards were grimy. Also the shower does not drain fully. Cobwebs in all of the windows throughout. There is beautiful outdoor furniture, but it is covered in cat hair. Overall, it just felt like everything needs a thorough cleaning. Otherwise a decent place.

It’s a great house in a great location situated between Grass Valley and Nevada City. The nearby walks are lovely. Too bad the bathrooms were crawling with carpenter ants or it would have been a perfect vacation rental. Would stay there again if the ants were controlled.

This was a lovely house decorated with antiques and art. Perfect for our family of 6. Stores near by and 7 miles to the Scott’s Flat resoviore and 6 minutes to old town Nevada City. Owners were very accommodating and responded quick to our questions. Thank you for a relaxing stay.

We are a family of 7 adults and 3 children. We were in town for a wedding. The house was super comfortable with plenty of amenities.
Two bathrooms did require family patience.
The location was very convenient to various other places. The nearby walking trail offered a nice nature experience and a bit of exercise.

The property was well located to enjoy the community and get to and from the NC fairgrounds. It was spacious. The deck and outdoor seating were a nice space but not clean. We saw that pollen was actively falling from trees overhead, but the area did not seem to have been cleaned of the pollen nor of bird droppings before our arrival. The rest of the home was very clean and well stocked. We were not aware that the 4th bedroom was actually a hallway to the outside deck. The hide a bed was set up as a bed and was comfortable, but it was unexpected that there was not actually a 4th private bedroom. All else was great.

Our family of 8 adults, two infants and two dogs stayed very comfortably here. The house has lots of character, linens were excellent and plentiful, and thoughtful little extras, like a magnifying mirror for example, were all through the house. Wonderful toys for the babies too. We were warm and cozy with plenty of space. Walking trail right next to house was lovely. Charlie was wonderful to deal with, I made a last minute change and he was so helpful and accommodating. We all agreed, we would definitely stay there again!

Cozy clean home in Nevada City and room enough for the 6 of us. The host was very gracious and the home is located near a walking trail. We entertained a party of 19 for Thanksgiving Dinner and had ample space. The house had everything we needed! Would definitely stay again.

It was nice and comfortable and close to town. Our experience was a good one in every way. Very clean and roomy. We gathered around the kitchen island and visited. The living room was just the right side for our group. We would rent the house again for sure.

We needed a place for our family group as a getting ready place for our daughter's wedding in Nevada City. The property is as pictured and has lots of room for for babies all the way to grandparents. Nice big kitchen and room for people to relax. The beds were great, very comfortable. Great communication with owner and dog friendly.

The house was very spacious and accommodating. Had everything we needed. We did use the pack and play but we think there was a piece missing under the mattress. It could have been a safety measure for our infant. Seemed like mattress for too small for crib.

This house was perfect for my family. It is a beautiful house filled with lovely artsy paintings and charming nick nacks. My one and only complaint is the bed in the master bedroom was as hard as a rock. This was even with the mattress topper. All the other beds were very comfortable, according to my family members. They all enjoyed the zip line and play area. The owners were very welcoming and let us enjoy their house and property by ourselves. I would recommend this house to anyone just as long as you are aware of the master bed! Maybe if the mattress sat on box springs instead of the platform of the bed frame, it wouldn’t be so hard???

Comfy beds, well stocked kitchen, cool antique vintage feel! This was exactly what we needed for an out of town wedding. Sadly our cross country race got canceled due to smoke, but the bed was so comfortable I ended up sleeping in longer than I have in years! Thank you!

Great stay, great location!
This house was perfect for my group of friends and me- the house was spacious, sleeps many, the deck is perfect for a little hang out spot or enjoying a cup of coffee in the morning. Just overall was a good experience. It is also less than 10 minutes away from the main shopping strip and restaurants in Nevada City.

Location was good . The listing says there is 4 bedrooms. There is only 3. The other sleeping option was a futon in and area of the living and kitchen area.

The house was fully stocked with mostly everything we needed. There were great instructions for everything. Which was a pleasant surprise as not all properties have had instructions. The house is very close to shopping and restaurants. We had a great retreat.
